Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? 23:32 - Jan 30 with 18744 views | The_Last_Baron | In what is a historic occasions how are you planning to mark the occasion? I've got a table at a great Italian restaurant booked in south London and then when we've had our fill we are heading down to Parliament Square for a bit before going for a good old knees up at an exclusive venue which we expect some of the Brexit big hitters to be in attendance. The feeling is it's going to be an all nighter so we will probably be rolling in at 8am having danced the night away. It should be quite the night.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 13:27 - Jan 31 by 26_Paz | Keep telling yourself that. I have tried olive branches but you just continue with the insults and put downs to me and other Brexiteers. |
That's just not true, you're rewriting history there my friend.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 13:26 - Jan 31 by r2d2 | Well said. One of the worst on here for the abuse. Others got booted from here for less than this guy said over time. Yet somehow he still survives. I put him on block a long time ago. |
That's just complete nonsense, fella. And you've been engaged in calling another poster a sad little man this morning so perhaps you ought to get off your high horse and stop pretending to be a victim.

If you think any of what I've said to you is abusive then feel free to report it to admin. I look forward to you similarly taking r2d2 to task for popping up on a thread aimed at remainers where he called someone a sad little man.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 14:56 - Jan 31 with 5439 views | hampstead_blue | I've changed my mind. Walking past the church hall at lunchtime today I saw a notice about this evening. "Come along for the great Brexit event" Apparently a group in our town are going to find some remainers tickle them a lot and then eat them alive. I'm going to take my Pomerol along. Should go well with the meat course. Not sure about eating remainer flesh....might be a touch 'bitter'......I'll take some honey to sweeten it.
| Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

There's a constant stream of brexiteers today banging on about bitter remoaners, moaning remoaners, sad losers, etc. Can't you you just go and enjoy yourselves without rubbing people's noses in it?

This is all about "winning" and rubbing the "losers" noses in it. There's no more substance to it than that.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 09:58 - Jan 31 by Herbivore | A majority didn't vote for Boris. He won a majority because of our antiquated electoral system. The majority voted for other parties than the Tories. Calling Mark Francois a gammon isn't a slur, it's a description. |
Funny you complained and got people like Benters banned from this Forum when they used similar insults against people he didn't agree with. Strange that..

I never complained to anyone about Benters. I'm not sure he got banned either, I think he left. What insults are you referring to exactly? Me implying Mark Francois is full of gammon and bile? Feel free to flag that up to admin if you think it's crossed a line.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 15:51 - Jan 31 with 5396 views | clive_baker | I'm out tonight for dinner and pints not far from Parliment Square, so I am tempted to walk through later and laugh at the absolute state of the chumps standing their with their Union Jacks and singing Rule Britannia, whilst sipping on their Belgian beers, before jumping into their German taxis and going back to their houses built by hard working Poles. Despite our differences, I wish them all a safe night and hope they enjoy themselves and stay out of trouble, wouldn't want them to end up in A&E being treated by one of them foreigners. I'm often reminded that 'I lost', to which I would have to agree. I think we all have.

If I were in London I would definitely be going for a walk through Parliament Square, it will be absolute comedy gold.

It's a joke. Tongue in cheek. If you check my first post I'm actually doing nothing different. I have just bought a very nice rack of lamb for supper. No remainers will be hurt, don't worry.

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 09:59 - Jan 31 by r2d2 | Im not talking about the debate of right and wrong, lm talking about the outright abussive put downs people have put up with. Anyone, as a poster on here put, who came down on the brexit side, was bullied, called out, put down, basically abused from all sides. But that is obviously fine. In any other time the pc brigade would have been out in force crying from the roof tops. But if you support/supported brexit it was anything goes. |
I think you've confused abuse with being asked for evidence to back up your claims, which the likes of The Last Baron could never provide, beyond the odd meaningless slogan.

Don't worry. My children despair when I try to be funny so I'm hardly surprised it was misunderstood. Have a hug...... Edit; I find the whole celebratory thing in rather poor taste. The vote was so close and divisive it can only do harm. [Post edited 31 Jan 2020 16:53]

Brexiteers - how are you spending tomorrow evening? on 13:05 - Jan 31 by StochesStotasBlewe | I will be spending the evening with Mrs Pinewood sharing a bottle of red and watching Silent Witness on catchup and maybe, just maybe, have a little shimaneehoo at bedtime. Tomorrow, daybreak will occur at about 7.30 am, the world will keep spinning and the UK will have left the political behemoth of the EU. My dear friends from all corners of Europe will still be my dear friends, I will still travel hassle free and will still be able to buy my products from the supermarket. The day to day impact will be negligible and my little gardening business will continue as before. Optimistic about the good ship Uk . |
" the UK will have left the political behemoth of the EU. " apart from the single market and the custioms union the ECJ freedom of movement WU ascegules EU free deals £32bn more in divorce patments .....and much more and the table where all those are discussed and voted on rather like handing your ST back but still having to pay for it

I can't be bothered outline the 101 reasons why it's vital this country voted to leave the EU, if you can't see them or educate yourself and think for yourself, that is your lookout. As for Brexiteers rubbing remainers noses in it, I certainly haven't as I believe they are entitled to a different point of view. Remoaners are a different story however. They''d have happily robbed the winners of the referendum of their victory and their actions led to a lot of unpleasant issues in the country. They should have accepted defeat and worked with the winners to withdraw from the EU - you'd have found we would have left with a very good deal for all concerned if that had been the case, but then I don't think that is not what they want. The rubbing noses in it also partly comes from Brexiteers never really being able to celebrate until Dec 2019 as the attacks from several angles defamed them and actually came close to overthrowing the referendum. Thank god for the general election which put them back in their box. I'm off now to enjoy the evening and I wish everyone a great evening whatever their political viewpoint. ;I can't be bothered outline the 101 reasons why it's vital this country voted to leave the EU,. one would be a start one, that has not turned out to be complete bollox one that has not now been quietly forgotten as to 'rubbing anyone's nose in it' I think the level of celebration suggests that far more folk than you think have finally grasped that all the old guff you swallowed.... is just that, old guff or is the fact that so much has now been revealed to not be happening all part of that cunning plan ? we can only wonder if there is anything left to ditch

Dodging the question again! As Harry said, just one would be brilliant... an actual tangible benefit, not slogans. Again, the language you're deploying of winners and losers is hardly helpful... I'm sure you'll be telling everyone we need to unite soon... Enjoy your evening, I look forward to hearing your reasons tomorrow!
