My take is if you wouldn’t want to hear it said about your Mum/Partner/Sister/Daughter then why say it about someone else?
It’s really not a radical concept. If you wanna make those jokes in close company with people who know it’s not meant that way then that’s your choice. But I’d fully expect a few friends to call me out on that if I said those words on my social media.

No, I realise you weren't.
It was just my two-penneth and you looked like one of the safer options.
I daresay if either of them meets someone they consider more permanent then they'll make their decisions from there.
I know a lady whose marriage has been over for years but they still get on well, have a nice home, family and lifestyle and see no point in splitting it all up, for example, having weighed up the pros and cons.
