...that Coronavirus mostly only rears its ugly head on cruise ships. Other than that, especially in China, it is largely contained. In other breaking news the Pope has a cold.
But who knows what I really mean?

Don't even get me started on his lack of commas.

'You don't have enough information to make such a bold assertion.'

Neither did the BBC, this did not stop them from releasing the story that a man had died and had underlying health problems whilst also testing positive for Coronavirus, if you cannot see that this spreads fear you are being obtuse.

Panic buying of toilet rolls and hand sanitizer follow reports such as this, a needless panic inducing lead story.

To follow,

What do the old who require carers do if the carers self isolate?

What do the self employed do? We shall see self isolation apartheid with those such as Jon Snow joyfully accepting it,.

In response to the last two questions, those are both really serious challenges with no easy solutions. That's why what we're faced with is so serious. I'm not sure what good it would do for the media/BBC to stop reporting on Coronavirus though?

Stop being a tw*t?

I am sick and tired of the fake news and conspiracy nonsense that gets peddled on here. I don't want to see it hear and thus you'll be challenged when you write it.

Will everyone be challenged when they write it?

You seem very selective regarding those that you challenge and in one case you actually defended a poster for posting fake news.

A certain poster said that "Iran wants to see a Jew free Middle East" and when i called out that poster for posting fake news you defended him and said that i was not being fair.

The rate of spread outside of China is fairly constant, with cases doubling every 4 - 5 days. If there are no significant measures to contain it, this means about 5,000 cases by the end of this month, about 750,000 by the end of April, and a peak towards the end of May.

I challenge on many subjects. You only challenge things into which you can fit an anti-Western narrative.

Why aren't you challenging the poster who is clearly scientifically wrong? You're very selective on what you challenge and why.

Deflection is a fascinating strategy isn't it?

You can deflect all you want about my "anti-Western narrative" and that i am "very selective" but it's not me who is on a mission to police this forum re Fake News, it's you and as i have pointed out you actually defended another poster after he had posted fake news, just astounding really.

I see that you haven't even actually tried to argue your case either - that you defended a poster that posted fake news which in itself speaks volumes.

Looking forward to your next heap of deflections, "your this and your that, blah blah blah".

Post the link because I don't actually remember the thread you are talking about.

It's not deflective - it's a fact. Everyone knows exactly how and when you post and on what subjects. You only care to push your narrative, not about actual fake news. You've still said nothing about this actual thread and the false claims within it - you've just popped in to have a go and because it's not relevant to your narrative you have nothing at all to add to the actual debate.

My post is totally clear in that thread as was my position. In no way does it defend fake news, at worst it might possibly misunderstand GBs initial point but that was what I took it to mean and I clarified that in my post.

I'll accept your apology now and after your diversion of the thread would appreciate your thoughts on the actual subject at hand. You've been asked 3 times but you've not offered anything.

It's pretty rubbish stuff from you to be honest.

For Goodness sake, it is the BBC and others main story all day every day, radio 5 live was a disgrace on Friday allowing callers to voice their ill informed opinions, 'everyone should stay home until it is clear' it is stupidity and will cause a recession.

I'm actually a bit annoyed by this now.

My response is totally clear in that thread along with the evidence behind why I said it. You are being disingenuous.

You have accused me of being selective in defending against fake news and unscientific posts but all you can point to is a single post in a thread ages ago where I was clear in my position. You've held that up as an equivalence to the many threads where I try and tackle fake news and woo. It's a ridiculous position to take, especially as you only entered this thread to make this argument.

You've still not contributed anything to this thread.

To be honest you can do one. You're a nasty piece of work with a clear agenda and contribute very little to the forum.
