How anybody can read the op and think I am saying more than "I do not think the virus is as contained as the media would like to pretend" and "some of the side effects of this are mildly amusing" (reporting that the live streaming Pope has a slight cold) is honestly beyond me. |

I'm not sure I do agree with you and to be honest I read it the same way that Spark read it. I think you've changed your argument hence you are more aligned with my opinion.
I think the numbers are far higher everywhere because there is a lag in testing as it doesn't start until symptoms are shown and by then someone has had if for up to 2 weeks. There also aren't enough tests to test everyone.
You can simulate it using a Simple Moving Average (SMA) if you are interested in seeing how the lag works.

I think there must be classes for these people.
The Pazelle type et al cos the format's always the same.
Make half a suggestion and keep hinting at those suggestions for a while forcing people to try fill in the gaps themselves, and when they do, pretend that's not what you meant at all.

You don't have enough information to make such a bold assertion.
You also fundamentally misunderstand how virus and the body works it seems. To eager to have a pop at the media rather than increase your own knowledge. It's a bit rubbish of you really.
Having something like Covid 19 will mean the patients immune system has to spend a lot of resources dealing with that attack. It settles deep in the lungs and will make other conditions worse or worsen pneumonia. He might have died of his underlying health condition but he was fine until he got Covid 19 - that was the catalyst.
So to say he didn't die of it isn't really technically correct.

Neither did the BBC, this did not stop them from releasing the story that a man had died and had underlying health problems whilst also testing positive for Coronavirus, if you cannot see that this spreads fear you are being obtuse.
