I am pretty much convinced now... on 10:19 - Mar 8 by BanksterDebtSlave | How anybody can read the op and think I am saying more than "I do not think the virus is as contained as the media would like to pretend" and "some of the side effects of this are mildly amusing" (reporting that the live streaming Pope has a slight cold) is honestly beyond me. |
Have you actually looked back at the OP before posting that? And do you take into account yesterday's cryptic innuendo laden effort? "..that Coronavirus mostly only rears its ugly head on cruise ships. Other than that, especially in China, it is largely contained. In other breaking news the Pope has a cold. But who knows what I really mean? Brass Eye....eat your heart out. " The OP was entirely opaque, and you then proceeded to support another poster spouting spurious nonsense. Also- you are once again inserting an unsupported piece of conspiracy innuendo. "as the media would like to pretend"- is suggestive of some complict conspiracy to hide the truth. Evidence for this please... [Post edited 8 Mar 2020 10:23]

I am pretty much convinced now... on 10:08 - Mar 8 by StokieBlue | I'm not sure I do agree with you and to be honest I read it the same way that Spark read it. I think you've changed your argument hence you are more aligned with my opinion. I think the numbers are far higher everywhere because there is a lag in testing as it doesn't start until symptoms are shown and by then someone has had if for up to 2 weeks. There also aren't enough tests to test everyone. You can simulate it using a Simple Moving Average (SMA) if you are interested in seeing how the lag works. SB |
You forget all those people that carry it too but show no or few symptoms!

Your actual meaning was utterly opaque and reliant on innuendo. As usual.

Because that's not how you've played it throughout the thread, as you are aware. However, I like you so not gonna argue. I was quite pleased with my suggestion that matey was on his way to a convention but no one cared. I'm more upset about that.

Not just me it appears. And objectively, perhaps you should read what you wrote and ask yourself whether your point is clear from it. If you really don't understand why it is opaque, I cannot help you. Though I suspect you know full well and continue to play disingenuous semantic games.

I think there must be classes for these people. The Pazelle type et al cos the format's always the same. Make half a suggestion and keep hinting at those suggestions for a while forcing people to try fill in the gaps themselves, and when they do, pretend that's not what you meant at all. Bankster's not the worst for it but the pattern's the same. CIL would have got 25 pages from that, half-claiming, counter-claiming, making something up, go around in a big circle and then say it's everyone else who's a bit tapped.

Yes. But your original point doesn't read that way. It reads as a conspiratorial point against the Chinese. Given subsequent posts that doesn't seem to have been your intention but that doesn't change the way it originally read or why you got the responses you did. SB

I am pretty much convinced now... on 08:42 - Mar 8 by StokieBlue | You don't have enough information to make such a bold assertion. You also fundamentally misunderstand how virus and the body works it seems. To eager to have a pop at the media rather than increase your own knowledge. It's a bit rubbish of you really. Having something like Covid 19 will mean the patients immune system has to spend a lot of resources dealing with that attack. It settles deep in the lungs and will make other conditions worse or worsen pneumonia. He might have died of his underlying health condition but he was fine until he got Covid 19 - that was the catalyst. So to say he didn't die of it isn't really technically correct. SB |
'You don't have enough information to make such a bold assertion.' Neither did the BBC, this did not stop them from releasing the story that a man had died and had underlying health problems whilst also testing positive for Coronavirus, if you cannot see that this spreads fear you are being obtuse. Panic buying of toilet rolls and hand sanitizer follow reports such as this, a needless panic inducing lead story. To follow, What do the old who require carers do if the carers self isolate? What do the self employed do? We shall see self isolation apartheid with those such as Jon Snow joyfully accepting it,.
