Who has amassed the most bog roll?? 17:47 - Mar 14 with 29136 viewssparks

Was in Argos yesterday- and saw a delivery of Ebay Collection point stuff. Someone had seemingly found and ordered (on ebay) 6x9 packs of Andrex...

My outings so far today resulted in a complete failure to secure any flour in Tesco- which was also completely out of Baked Beans, Pitta Bread, Chinese starter snacks, toilet roll, and very very low on large sections of the freezer section. Loads of fresh fruit and veg though.

My shop today was same as usual, I didn't find anything out of stock so that was a good start.

That Downes will be sold to West Ham, but if it doesn't happen then it's all Marcus' fault... or something.

But fear not, Stokie put him/her/it in their place.

No one stands up my Best Forum Friend.

He sent me a PM ages ago about our meet up in SA. He claimed he meant 2am not 2pm. Who the hell arranges to meet somebody at 2am? Best Buddies forever Footers old fruit. I shall have your back should the common little dust mite be around as the same time as me. Thanks.

We did a rather tidy and expensive Majestic run this morning.

People have yet to cotton on that antibac washing up liquid does the same job. Just get some hand cream.

I get my wine from here:

They have really interesting wine from unusual vineyards and countries. Also excellent tasting events.

Forgot to sign it old fruit. Posh boy won't like that.

Posh? Even I use Ocado mate.

Admittedly when they email some offer or other.

I cannot understand anyone not using this btw.

Once I got a delivery with Tesco after some leaflet dropped through the door: tenner off £60 spend or similar. Delivery slots from a quid.

Same with Sainsburys, then with Ocado too. Ocado is usually around the 15% off mark.

When you're busy using another supplier the first one's system will generate more vouchers and email them to you, and the cycle continues.

30 rolls. Not stockpiling. Seen plenty around in various places.

I wouldn't be surprised if we soon see a run on things like frozen pizzas, ice cream, beer and chocolate as the rumours of lockdown grow over the next week or two. People will be looking to add some luxuries as people look to retain some normality. It's great buying massive bags of basmati rice and endless cans of baked beans but I doubt people will really want to live on such meals for too long.

To the poster above who said paracetamol are in short supply but cold medicines aren't; I made the error of taking cold capsules once when paracetamol alone was probably the right call. If your nose isn't blocked the decongestant makes it run constantly for hours. You end up going through a couple of boxes of tissues and looking like Rudolph.

Truly impaired.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a look.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

I have 26.

I would pick up a pack next time I shop but if they're out then they're out.

There's normally a few knocking around on the shelves still but not the brands you might normally choose.

I have the shower if it comes to it, assuming the Water Board don't die.

I think we have 5 or 6 rolls in the house. Until home working is enforced I can at least focus most of my poo time to the work dollar (and loo roll) at least.

I think we've got plenty of rice and pasta, need to stock up on more veg though.

Taking dumps at work is a desperate measure, Dubbers. Appreciate the sentiment but maybe just nick some bog roll to squeeze one out at home instead.

Saw a chap in the shop earlier who had four cases of Budweiser in his trolley.

Hopefully none of this panic buying affects proper beer drinkers.

I am concerned that they might run out of Extra Virgin, Balsamic and decent Brie.

And tissues are valuable atm too!

As Sparks (I think) mentioned, I keep meaning to grab some bread flour.

I do have a bag of chapati flour but it's good to be able to make your own loaves too sometimes. And if bread were to become an issue...

Almost one of my favourite late night snacks there.

Brie, fresh bread, rape oil mixed with balsamic.*

*A couple of thin slices of ginger if I can be bothered.

If toilet rolls(I pushed the boat out and bought a pack of 4!)are number one on the list of must have's right now then pasta has to be up there because Sainsbury's today was pretty much sold out of it, I noticed the canned soup aisle looked sparse too whilst we're at it..

Bread flour is all gone.

However, the Mrs has just been out (she said to get a few bits and make sure she has chocolate / sugar for emergency diabetes sugar level purposes).

She came back with most of the shop in bags. We now have 5 loaves in the freezer, several bottles of milk and more pasta than you can shake a stick at.

30 rolls which = about 3 months. More if rationed or washed and reused.....😱

I was joking- we have enough olive oil and balsamic. I avoid Brie because its fattening but a good brie and bacon sarnie is a joy. As is a baked camembert with some crusty rolls.

For hand-washing you could use gin - having a high alcohol content, should kill the virus. (and better than drinking the stuff).

I did a shop with the boy this afternoon.

The following were unavailable

Hand sanitiser (obvs)
Ibuprofen
Anti bac cleaner
Anti bac wipes
Bleach
Plain flour
Peanuts
Eggs

Pasta, tinned tomatoes, butter, porridge and chocolate supplies were decimated.

The end is nigh friends. I’ll admit to over-buying wine.
