That sounds about right and detracts from the whole point.
Now consider this. Town centre dead as shops aren’t open, town centre park will be busy if weather nice, even more exposure to the message. But they’d rather get angry than think logically

I might pop up there to see what the hoes vs pitchfork count is.
Appears to have been mostly well-received(if a source of some bemusement) by locals here. In Glemsford, black and white lie in harmony and gang up on people from Cavendish and Long Melford.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I think you're taking what I said a bit literally there.
What I was trying to convey is that placing the protest in the park moves it from the public's gaze somewhat, albeit minorly.
I reckon it’d be the opposite this time round. There are no shops, restaurants or pubs open for people to be in the town centre for, it’s the parks that people are heading to now. Although maybe not this weekend if the weather in Ipswich is anything like Surrey.

If it helps, I've got some t0sser mates who believe the world is flat, that space is fake and that Alex Jones is a credible news source...
Thankfully they're bloody good blokes who when you can get past the brain washing are lovely people, but Christ does it make a pub sesh difficult after the third or so beer.
Have to admit though I'd find what your mate say's harder to laugh off.
Is one of them called Morpheus by any chance?
You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....

The park isn't exactly huge though is it?
I mean, it wouldn't be outrageous to want to maybe start there as a place to gather and walk through the lot.
Down past the bus station and through the high street too etc.
There'll always be some people about and much of it is part residential too.
Like I say, surely you'd want to cover some ground either way.

It isn't huge, because Christchurch Park is fake. You'll find if you walk through the Fonnereau Road entrance with an 'open mind', you'll instantaneously pop out on Bolton Lane.
Similarly walk in with your mind 'open' at Soane Street, et voila, you're in Park Road.
There are many ways to achieve an 'open mind', and most can be purchased in and around the park (except it doesn't exist).

I've never been in the Westerfield Road way.
I'm going to assume you're taking the piss.
I mean it's not an hour's walk from one side to the other is it.
I haven't been that way for many years though if I'm honest and it's quite possible the last time I was there I was with 2 friends and we were all off our faces for around 10 hours.

Indeed. I remember cutting through one night on the way home, jumping off the wall next to the gate near the Woolpack and forgetting how my legs were supposed to work before I hit the pavement. I rolled out into the road just as what I remember as an ice cream van (which I don't think could have been) came by. Happy daze.

Well I'd assume the van had a blue light on its roof.
Most ice-cream vans tend to at that time of night.
We got stoppedby a copper actually on Crown St side somewhere afterwards and he had questions. We did our best and he was ok as it goes. It was clear we weren't the full ticket but we were in good spirits and weren't any trouble.
At the spot where he stopped us were some raised flower beds, so that was fortunate.
It was just a 'empty your pockets please' half hearted search attempt and he didn't show much interest in the immediate environment.
Great cause and I wouldn't want to discourage anybody from going, but just please, please, please be careful. We have a Tory government who are clueless, so please think about the social distancing.
