He hasn’t. Yes, I agree he’s had some poor games, but he’s also had some good ones too. I’d like to see him given an extended run in a wide role. You never know, he might even change your opinion of him. |  |

Just the 1 year left after extension was triggered, suspect new deal will be offered once the financial murkiness of COVID is cleared up.
I do expect Lankester/Dobra to be seen as more influential wide men next year.
Currently we have 4 wide men - Lankester/Dobra/Edwards/Sears

But much of the season I think he struggled playing as wing/full back
I think he's done enough in our time with us to warrant another season. But I would hope some of out attacking youngsters will displace him. |
Possibly, but I don’t think you can rely on Dobra/Lankester for a whole season, Edwards is certainly not a bad understudy.
He’s expressed his preferred position is LW, I would like to see him there more, played his best football at Posh there IIRC. | |

Has some strengths and glaring weaknesses.
On the plus side, is quick, has some tricks and is great arriving at the back post - especially in the air. When played on wide of midfield he tracks back well and will put in a tackle.
On the negative side, whilst he may not be afraid to tackle, he's not very good at it. His first touch is appalling, properly awful.
But the biggest issue is that as a winger or a wing-back his crossing is terrible - which should be a basic requirement for someone playing in that position. | | | |

I would keep him, but play him in the correct position. Play all our players in their correct position and we might actually get out of this league. |

Depends what formation we're going to play next season. If we play 4 at the back with wingers I'd keep him, we've struggled to find decent wingers for years and I'm not convinced we'd find someone else who's much better. If we stick with 5 at the back I'd probably look for someone who's more of a recognised right back / wing back and could get a bit of a fee from him still.

Edwards is worse but the big difference Nsiala plays in a position where mistakes are punished and reliability is key. Edwards is a more luxury role that can be covered | |

What are the chances of us playing the same formation for the whole season, though?
Not even accounting for Lambert's tendency to rotate players and systems, we're going to have to change it up at times.
For about 10 years now we've lacked good wide players. We still do, and while he's not amazing Edwards is okay and showed last season he was able to chip in with few goals. If he can recapture that knack then we might he might be in business. |  |
