Small consolation, but since lockdown ended they’ve managed the same number of points and only one more league goal than us.

He was nowhere near being fit here at the start. Was starting to get into the groove as he was recalled. If we could have kept him we would have made it into the play offs easier than scrabbling on the last day and would have had more firepower for the play offs.

Norwich stats on 05:19 - Jul 19 with 2517 views | eddiespearitt03 | Still not as bad as the ten + years of rubbish served up by the Marcus Evans consortium . A discussion on Norwich,s slump has nothing on where we are right now. With our best young players being groomed and ready to be sold there is little success coming our way any day soon.

Indeed. I know laughing at Norwich is meant to provide some solace but for however bad they are, we finished 11th in League 1.

For me Naarwich losing a football match is always good news and ITFC's situation at that time has no relevance(for me). When I have been lucky enough to watch every minute of every one of their defeats since the resumption on TV it has added to my enjoyment. There have been several literal laugh out loud moments including Godfrey's own goal yesterday. My wife sometimes wonders what I am laughing at so I just tell her that the budgies are losing again. We could be in the SIL Sunday League, them in the European Superleague and I'd still laugh their failures.

Innit. Feels somewhat tragic after the season we've just had to lolling at Norwich. They're losing, but they're losing in the best league in the world or in extra time against Man United in an FA Cup 1/4 final, while we've spent the season taking a pantsing from Peterborough and Lincoln. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see them relegated but we need to get our own house in order before we can be too vocal about it IMO. The biggest regret is that we're not in the same division as them next season as we failed spectacularly in not keeping to our side of the bargain.

Ah, but Town haven’t had something like £400m over the last 5 years ...... and aren’t they going to get yet another £90m for being “ the best team ever to be relegated”? Utter crap.
