Nydam seems a strange choice, but I guess out of him or Kenlock, has to be him!
Bishop has to be in if its based on all being fit, I'd push Judge behind Norwood and drop Jackson.
Looking at the options on the bench we are woefully short on quality aren't we?
Especially as Downes looks likely to be off. |
Jackson was involved in more goals than any of our players last season.

Yep, there was more bad than good but the point still stands, he's still got quality to give and it's silly to ignore that, he just needs to find consistency. He's still up there in terms of top goals scored and assisted in our squad (somehow), behind Garbutt who won't be here next season.
I don't blame you for thinking that consistency won't come, because it might not. I just don't think disregarding him as a useful player would be wise. |

I think you're going over the top. It's gone from 2-3 good games this season (harsh in itself) to only a handful of good games across his whole time with us. It's more than that.
He was consistently good, taking into account the overall dross squad, in the team that went down. This season he's really struggled for form.

I think you're going over the top. It's gone from 2-3 good games this season (harsh in itself) to only a handful of good games across his whole time with us. It's more than that.
He was consistently good, taking into account the overall dross squad, in the team that went down. This season he's really struggled for form.

He really wasn't consistently good the year we went down. Zero goals and I think one assist in nearly half a season is not a mark of consistently good performances for a player playing as a number 10. Last season he was really poor, a couple of games aside. We have players coming through like Dobra and Lankester who can offer much more dynamism in that role and Judge shouldn't be standing in their way. Bishop should be ahead of him too when fit. | |

No, but we can rotate them. All three deserve game time ahead of Judge.
I think your characterisation of Judge's run in the side during our relegation year is very generous. Guys like Nolan, Jackson, Downes and Dozzell managed to get goals and assists during Judge's run in the side, none set up by him. He showed flashes of ability but largely flattered to deceive. Last season those flashes of ability weren't even really there. Think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. [Post edited 22 Jul 2020 13:19]
