So then. Just to summarise ..... 11:37 - Sep 1 with 4031 viewsWarkTheWarkITFC

- We have a manager that literally nobody wants at the club, seemingly fans or players
- The same manager had us in relegation form over the last half of last season
- The salary cap just came into force evening the playing field that we couldn't even take advantage of when it was massively in our favour
- We are looking like going for a system that we don't have a fit centre forward capable of playing
- We have one centre half we'd say is promotion chasing League One quality
- We won't sign anyone most probably until we have about 10-15 players off the books as the squad is ridiculously oversized
- Our best player wants to leave
- The only other player we have way too good for this side has just been slagged off for no reason and had a big meltdown on social media
- The few young players we have of promise have potentially been given the wrong approach under the guise of tough love
- And an owner that seems completely blind to / fine with all this

Have I missed anything!

Chambers does do that, but ultimately if the manager falls out with everyone, then it doesn't work.

He can only keep the players onside, he can't set the culture and if that is failing above him then he's p155ing in the wind

I can’t disagree with that. If PL has burnt his bridges with the players, there’s little point wasting more time with him, things will only get worse. A couple of wins might paper over the cracks but we all know this squad is psychologically fragile and won’t respond well to a downturn.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I think if a manager tries to rule by fear, then when form downturns and mistakes are made and this cranks up then it's not really being Psychologically fragile it's just what is happening.

Players thrown under the bus after a pre season friendly on Saturday, it doesn't take a great leap to see why players play with fear of making mistakes - it's just not a conducive way to succeed

And of course, as we both know, this ill feeling is nothing new and has been going on for ages, well into last season.

I just can't believe he is still here, it's a new low even by Evan's standards. PL could not have done much worse on the pitch if he tried, we have negativity permeating throughout the club that is no better than under PH and even the PR dried up months ago.

Yep, on results alone he is incredibly lucky to even still be in a job - before you even look at all the other factors at play

It was noticeable, to me anyway, that Lambert changed from being super positive about everything to being pretty prickly at the slightest challenge over the course of last season.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

It's like Evans rocked up 8 months ago and saw the North Stand singing Paul Lambert is a blue and him clapping us, saw we were near the top and hasn't been back since but presumes it's all still the same.

Mind you, Chris Reeve’s been losing his mind over Norwich having a blue and white change strip for the coming season. I hope it gives them all nipple rash.

Yeah but apart from all that, it's looking ok (?)

I have to say it does look like it's already more toxic than it was at the end of Mick's last pre-season.

All we really need in there is a good man manager and motivator and most of the problems would go away

Nothing drastically will change whilst there remains an owner who lacks any serious interest in the football club.

Mick and the fans had become toxic. Didn't the players all still really love the bloke?

We now have a situation where reportedly the players hate Lambert as much as the fans!
