Norwich actually. Pretty sure if you ask around, other people on here who know far more than I do on the matter will confirm it wasn’t bollox. Can only imagine corona played some role in that not happening in the summer but good news for us I suppose.

Def info - National lockdown 3rd week November onwards on 17:06 - Oct 30 by footers | Boxing Day football with cold gammon, piccallili and cheese straws. Happy to help. |
It's funny I was just earlier thinking how I'll miss getting to the game on boxing day this season, so I had a look at our recent festive results. Ipswich haven't even scored a goal, let alone won a game on boxing day since 2015.

Quite. And yet just a few weeks back we still had people whining about get togethers being limited to six people, and telling us that flu kills more people than Covid so we should be opening everything up. Madness. This should have all been tackled earlier on rather than trying to appease people who don't know what they are talking about. [Post edited 30 Oct 2020 17:33]

Def info - National lockdown 3rd week November onwards on 18:03 - Oct 30 with 2228 views | Swansea_Blue | And then if it's anything like here, all the twumps will be having parties just before lockdown and then the number of cases will shoot up during lockdown. The denier idiots will then all jump up and down and say that's evidence of the lockdowns not working. Meanwhile the death rate will creep up. Rinse and repeat until we get a vaccine in 2 years time.

I saw the US is recording record numbers of cases again and deaths were over 1000 yesterday. It seems to just plod along over there, no first or second waves, just one long consistent wave. SB

Fake News. According to Don Jr, the 88,521 new cases and 1,100 deaths yesterday are 'nothing'. Meanwhile his Dad is out on the campaign trail, in front of his maskless fanatics, saying he's sick of hearing about "Covid, Covid, Covid", that the media are only covering it to make him look bad and that come November 4th, if he's reelected, we won't hear about Covid anymore. Don Jr is right, in the sense that 88,521 new daily cases and 1,100 daily deaths will seem like nothing compared to the numbers we will be looking at if his Pop is reelected. Def info - National lockdown 3rd week November onwards on 16:52 - Oct 30 by The_Romford_Blue | I won’t name the source obviously. But a certain business was told today by a member of the local council to prepare for a national lockdown on the third week of November. The council member was literally going round specific shops to pass on the message directly from the government (apparently). I happen to know said owner of business who passed on the message. The theory is to not announce it publicly just yet in order to avoid people panic buying. So some business in particular are being slowly told. We shall see. [Post edited 30 Oct 2020 16:53]

I have heard exactly the same today. BJ has been urged to enforce a 4 week national lockdown, with an announcement possible next week. An attempt to ‘save Christmas’. Won’t reveal my source but very, very reliable and on the Labour side of the fence. Whether BJ listens to his advisors remains to be seen. I notice also a few sizeable short positions opened against some of the countries largest high street retailers this week...

So, being done in a way that prevents people panic buying, but does allow individuals to make a stock market killing ahead of the formal announcement. It's the tory way.

Def info - National lockdown 3rd week November onwards on 16:57 - Oct 30 by MonkeyAlan | People will just have to do Xmas differently. This country as a whole are massive wet wipes. They just won't listen, so the suffering will go on even longer. If we had a proper lockdown people would stamp and kick about being locked up and would find ways to be out and about. People won't be told. Bunch of idiots. |
Got quite riled listening to the radio earlier when there was a stream of people talking about their 'rights', how it would be 'impossible' for them not to see family at Christmas and the Government having no business in telling them not to. There's a fvcking virus going round which has already killed tens of thousands of people in the UK alone, plus making many more seriously ill. Why can't people get it into their heads that things will not be "getting back to normal" any time soon? Or that being "bored with" Covid-19 will not make it go away?

I’d have got annoyed by that too. It shouldn’t be so hard for people to be good and considerate citizens. I suppose in their defence there’s a side of the media telling them this is all nothing to worry about, but it’d be nice to see people actually critique the information being fed to them rather than just follow it.

It's the virulent strain of narrow self-interest, entitlement and ignorance that Maggie helped to instill in our beloved nation, sadly. Proud to be stupid and contrary, so long as they get what they want. There is no collectivism in the UK anymore.
