Meanwhile his Dad is out on the campaign trail, in front of his maskless fanatics, saying he's sick of hearing about "Covid, Covid, Covid", that the media are only covering it to make him look bad and that come November 4th, if he's reelected, we won't hear about Covid anymore.

But a certain business was told today by a member of the local council to prepare for a national lockdown on the third week of November. The council member was literally going round specific shops to pass on the message directly from the government (apparently). I happen to know said owner of business who passed on the message. The theory is to not announce it publicly just yet in order to avoid people panic buying. So some business in particular are being slowly told.

I have heard exactly the same today. BJ has been urged to enforce a 4 week national lockdown, with an announcement possible next week. An attempt to ‘save Christmas’. Won’t reveal my source but very, very reliable and on the Labour side of the fence. Whether BJ listens to his advisors remains to be seen.

I’d have got annoyed by that too. It shouldn’t be so hard for people to be good and considerate citizens. I suppose in their defence there’s a side of the media telling them this is all nothing to worry about, but it’d be nice to see people actually critique the information being fed to them rather than just follow it. | |
