Unless you sat with him over 2m away and for no longer than 15 mins at a time you have to isolate. Put the date of the pub visit in to your app and it will tell you until when. He's been very irresponsible / not understood the guidance like most people.
Scenarios like this are why people are not going for tests or telling people. |  |

I fully blame the government here. Had they spent our money wisely and stopped coming up with 3 word doublespeak, we'd be in a much healthier position.
The fact they ae now making out Sunak is a saint for giving some people our tax back as if it's from under the shade of his own massive wealth is pretty sickening. But if you go for a test or have symptoms and ignore it, that's still some level or personal responsibility you must take. | |

For me, I'm more annoyed at the indecision and delay. Especially missing the opportunity to have a shorter but proper lockdown over half term. Despite having the data and expert advice. I've a feeling that these current measures will go on for much longer than most are anticipating. | | | |

New research shows that is probably not enough to stop transmission. Even wearing a mask, unless there is good ventilation then eventually the people inside together will get it.

I know, I have been debating sharing that with my bosses but given how thigns ae going I might be pushed further out of the door if I do!
I think one of the biggest illustrations of why we are failing as a nation is that people simply want to do as they please, and ignore that it might lead them to isolating. It's not fun, and not practical for many but if we could do it as a nation then life would be easier.

I read it more as Frimley has to isolate and posted knowing what the answer would likely be. Helping himself to come to the conclusion of what he should do both legally and morally.
Given only around 20% of those supposed to isolate are doing so, I think he is one of the good ones, even if he needed a little nudge/confirmation to do the right thing. |  |
