Shambert out of 10 12:36 - Nov 20 with 2279 viewsBluefish

I seem to remember commenting on a thread last week that I scored him 0/10 for his 1st season 1/10 for his 2nd season and 5/10 for this season

He apparently rates himself 7/10 this season. I wonder what he would score himself for the other 2

You didn't ask that, you asked for a rating on this season to date.

Overall 7/10 is about right with all things considered.

I'll ask again. For this stage of the season to be 7 overall, which games were better than 7? Can't be that hard you must have factored it into your scoring surely?

Personally I view it from a Win, Draw or Loss and where we are in the league to guage my score, to be honest I couldn't give a monkeys chuff if we won all our games 1-0 playing like a hungover sunday league side, as long as we are where we want to be at the end of the season.

That does remind me of a sketch out of Gavin and Stacey when Smithy asks Gavin if he missed him on his honeymoon and the reply was "Table Tennis"

The perfect away performance gets 8 out 10.

I think we need go no further, as our judgements are clearly different here.

Not a lot of point contributing to a thread about scoring the performance this season then

The problem you'll have is other games where I believe we were better than 7 Blubs will probably rate it 2.

That will probably be due to either he sees the game different (which he clearly does), mixed in with that is his hatred for all things Lambert.

Its a bit of non-starter debate really.

But Blackpool, even he couldn't argue with that, even though deep down he would love to.

Bit odd because Blackpool I instantly agreed. Name some of these others

I score it 7/11.
7 wins from 11 games.
32/46 for the season would be the beez kneez.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

I think a higher score for season 1, but that was completely wasted in season 2 so doesn't really matter and we are probably in the range 3-7/10 this season but will have a much better view of that by 5pm a week on Saturday.

So back to the start. This season is 7/10 overall, presumably some games were better and some games were worse to reach 7/10 so which games were we better than that?

How does that way of marking a season fit your 0/10 rating, presumably every single game was worth 0/10 if it is an average of performances?

Maybe, just maybe, some of us were scoring how the season has gone as a whole so far

If you have enough 0/10s then it brings the average to lower than 1 besides a completed season has to have some regard to the overall outcome whereas that us utterly pointless in an on going one. If we win tomorrow our overall season can be an I or 9 for you. Not sure even you would agree that is true. Personally I believe in doing better than changing your assessment weekly based on the league table. Perhaps that could replace your podcast and save all of the effort with a simple message saying look at the table because performance and context is irrelevant

I've actually seen him post some things that I agree with.

But Lambert gets in his head rent free he loses the plot, and has been doing so for many of month now unfortunately.

Maybe a once good poster fallen by the wayside.

Purely for this season I'd go for 6.

I gave 7 for results, because third is fine for this stage of the season and 5 for performances. So above average for the most part but so much room to improve.

Lambert as a whole up until now, it's going to be a generous 3/10.

You are just such a prick - you can be the first and only person on my ignore list.

I don't know why I ever bother trying to engage properly with you - I get more sense out of my 2 year old.

The problem you've got is Lmabert is rating the season as a whole to date.

Sitting 4th, we have a game in hand on the top side, we are unbeaten on our our turf in the league, we've been struck with injuries in the striker department. Averaging 2 points a game which will get you promoted come the end of the season. I think 7 is fair reflection right now (although could somewhat decrease in 8 games time).

You've also suggested Lambert rates himself a 7, when that simply isn't true, he has rated us as a whole a 7.

Screams of adding 2+2 together to get 5, to somewhat fit your outlook on Lambert.

Seven is right for this season so far but, as others have said, it could very easily change soon.
