Chambers Ward need to be rested. Donacian and Kenlock should play and probably will want to impress given the chance.
Plus play 442 with Oli and Drenan as strikers as havent been that impressed with Jackson.

Agree 100% with dropping Chambo, give Donacien a run.

I'd keep Ward in.

Jackson just isn't a striker so time to start one of Drinan or Hawkins.

What do you mean he's not a striker?

If you mean he's not a lone striker then fair enough but to be honest we can't play a lone striker regardless of who it is - we just don't get enough men up to support them.

If you mean he's just not a striker then that is nonsense.

Couple that with wanting to play Donacien ahead of Chambers and you really have to question the wisdom of drinking before 10am.

putting donacian and Kenlock into the side when chambers and ward are fit, might as well be lamberts resignation letter.

Also if we are going with two up front it’s Jackson plus one of the other two.

Apart from that........

Think we miss Norwood's bullish graft. Am I the only one that doesn't rate Jackson at all? - he's a League 2 player at best.

We really need another striker, think Hawkins and Norwood could be our best partnership of what we currently have. Nors needs that unselfish strike partner to work with.

Jackson better than League, he’s a decent L1 striker, but he will be useless over the course of a season if he continues to play up top on his own, he can only play with a partner.

You could see for his goal v Plymouth, partnership work between him and Hawkins when we went 2 up top.

As a lone striker, Norwood the best ST we have at the club.

Which is worrying as I'm not sure Norwood is much cop as a lone striker either and he can't stay fit.

When we played balls in along the floor behind the huge cart horses they had we looked like winning it and they reverted to type in clattering anything that moved! However we only did that twice before deciding it was better to lump it in the air or just pass straight to them!

Jackson didn't bang in 20 goals in his first season with us in the Championship and therefore he'll always be crap according to some. Only a handful of players in League 1 directly contributed to more goals than him last season and yet we still have to read this utter tripe about him not being good enough for League 1. Utterly bizarre. Championship clubs weren't just looking at him, one actually bid for him. He's perfectly capable at this level and if nurtured and used correctly he has the raw attributes to be effective in the Championship as well.

He literally scored our most recent goal too. The issue isn't Jackson, it's that anyone up there on their own is so utterly isolated with little support from the wide areas that we're relying on a pair of 35 year old full backs creating. We needed Ward to create both goals at Plymouth for example. Ward and Chambers are more than decent at this level and the least of our worries, but we need to be realistic as to what we're expecting of them, especially in a packed schedule.

It's even more reason to go 4-4-2. Let the defenders defend, be a little more direct and play Jackson off Hawkins. We need to mix it up, it's not about long ball or short ball, it's about the right balls at the right time. We're so predictable and easy to play against.

Ward has been really poor since his injury. Worse than Chambers imo, who has also been struggling of late as well. You can't really be playing full backs with a combined age of 70, it's ridiculous.

Ward was involved in both our goals at Plymouth in our famous come from behind win......
ah yeah..they only had 10 men ,

A game we scored two in with2 strikers that included Jackson ,

But our professional ( I’ve played in Germany you know) manager , either forgot that fact, didn’t notice who was up front... or is just plain inept.
