He is still a human be8ng all said and d9ne and although he has failed in his task at the Club, the guy isn’t a nasty or bad individual IMO. . Yes he needs to go, but I hope Town fans show some respect when he does. |
"the guy isn’t a nasty or bad individual IMO" Really? He comes across like both of those things.

Phil - Surely this is beyond a game by game basis now? on 13:01 - Jan 27 by clive_baker | How utterly ridiculous that we have an owner running the club on the basis of one result to the next, and even questioning if a red card influences that stay of execution. If he doesn't have confidence in the manager, he needs to act upon it. |
It would be peak Evans to sack Lambert on Monday. The day after the transfer window closes so they can't bring any targets in. Reminds me of a mate at school who used to try and force an argument with his gf a few days before her birthday so he didn't have to buy her anything...

Sadly one of them is no longer with us so perhaps Evans will try the Cowleys instead.

cheers. Just seems crazy if he has made up his mind that he hasn't just got rid now and potentially enjoy a min bounce from interim coaches like Dunc at Everton or even with Klug and co after MM. Why tread water?

Only my opinion but if there is a change I would not want the Cowleys. Yes they were successful at Lincoln where obviously the caps fitted for them, however at Huddersfield they could not match their achievements at Lincoln. Not sure their football is the ITFC way but winning would probably win the fans over. For me if there is a change it has to be Paul Cook or Eddie Howe. Both are advocates of a good style of football although Howe at Bournemouth struggled in the defence area shipping a lot of goals. Not sure Howe would come anyway but think Cook would. I think it may be a bit too early for Dyer and Butcher but would not be adverse to it.

Not good for anybody. |
He’s being paid. He’s being paid to do more than tell us all about his medals or to bang on about injuries. Of course he had good intentions. But so what? He is clueless and good intentions are not going to stop this club falling into div two or, unlikely though it is with Evans, get back into the Championship.

I never get this at all. If Lambert's done then sack him, hand it to a caretaker whilst you hire the new manager. Which is more likely to get us a result on Saturday - a squad playing for a lame duck manager half of them have fallen out with, waiting for the inevitable, playing to a plan no one believes in or a squad that needs to demonstrate its worth to the new manager, coached by a fresh pair of eyes?

If the Cowleys were so good at Huddersfield why were they relieved of their duties. Do you really want to see kick and run football at ITFC. I can only imagine your 'why Howe' comment is sarcastic as he did a terrific job at Bournemouth. Yes it did not go well at the end but on small gates he massively over achieved. My other suggestion of Paul Cook looks an unlikely possibility if he has turned down Sheffield Wednesday.

Pretty sure he means that there is not a single chance of Eddie Howe dropping down to manage Ipswich, rather than his record.
