Anyone having a lovely old roast today? on 14:23 - Jan 31 with 1930 views | Churchman | Home made meatball curry. It’ll be really lovely, but seeing that word ‘roast’ has got me thinking of a nice piece of topside, roasties, Yorkshire pudding, veg and a thick gravy washed down with a few glasses of red. I always want what someone else is having. I started at the top of the page thinking, "Ooh that sounds nice". Then I saw the next one and thought "Oh, I dunno, I fancy that now." By the time I'd got to the bottom of the thread, my sea bass sounded a bit dull.

Topping - all the usual, plus a mix of Alpan and brown suger on top. This is the only recipe I'm confident of.

Anyone having a lovely old roast today? on 17:22 - Jan 31 with 1824 views | bluelagos | Marinaded some cubed chicken breast in yoghurt and Indian spices for 4 days. Yesterday half cooked it with a onion, tomatoes, peppers base. Finished off today in the slow cooker and dishing up with rice and broccoli. Probably got about 4 servings to will throw a couple of servings in the freezer and have one for lunch tomorrow :-) [Post edited 31 Jan 2021 17:22]

Heh. I fancied a roast today but I really need a day or 2 of healthier oil-free food, in this instance a plate of steamed fish and veg. That way I can off-set the week ahead eating what I like until the next episode of "I suppose I should make a bit of an effort" sets in. I cooked a pan of onions last night with a curry or two in mind in the next few days. Now I want a curry instead.

I hope it's not true but apparently getting through one of the last batches of Harleston Ciders (Dad dropped it off saying they have stopped production). A preposterously large baked potato with slow cooked chilli brisket and a mountain of guacamole and cheese heaped on said tattie to accompany. And the fire is on. Nice.

I'm not a chef, but think I've stumbled on gold - had it last week and it was properly nice, so going for a rerun!
