I liked the look of him at Rochdale, and in isolation the deal is fine, but when you step back and look at our recruitment it's an utter mess this window.

The whole approach to this window has felt like chaotic panic, resulting in us scratching around for kids at the 11th hour and leaving us with a ridiculously bloated squad now. We've got McGavin and El Mizouni out, but you would fear for the chances of youngsters like Dobra and Lankester, at least for the rest of this season.

You try and work it out but you just can't.
He can sprout what he likes about the future is the academy, the reality is he hasn't got the bottle to trust the academy kids - despite him feeling no pressure because he's played for big clubs.
It's a two fingers to Evans and his five point plan, its a two fingers to the academy, its a two fingers to any project developing centering around our academy. |  |

Matheson was outstanding when we played at Spotland. Wasn't at all surprised when Wolves snapped him up. Potentially the best of our loans, at least in terms of adding something to our play. However, I totally agree with the comments about recruitment, loans and the academy. Lambert's last desperate throw of the dice to keep his job. So much for stability and developing talent from the academy. |  |

I really can't remember him on any occasion, obviously I recall his burst onto the scene at Old Trafford, but I only remember Eoghan O'Connell being a bit of a class act at CB for Rochdale.
We do still have an underlying issue at the club where there remains no model or plan in place or enforced.
