I think the principle of it is correct, but how they have applied it is totally wrong. You cant restrict every club in the same way it's ridiculous, but perhaps the purpose of it was to get the ball rolling so to speak. Far more discussions were needed to push this through, thought out very poorly. |  | | |

The stupid thing is that there was nothing wrong with what was already in place, namely a salary cap based on percentage of turnover. It was just a move by the smaller clubs just to try and bring bigger clubs down to their financial level |  |

Asked Lee O'Neill re the salary cap and the arbitration process on Friday (he didn't know much about the latter). I've never a been a lover of that kind of competitive enviroment, it's almost a race to the bottom.
When the Premier League is moving in the other direction, all the clubs in the EFL are doing is making the PL dream more unachievable by increasing the disprarity in leagues.
Makes it sustainable, but what is sport without hopes and dreams? |  | | |
