I think Paz is right to a degree - there is a balance between number of deaths and when lockdown will be lifted. We’re never getting back to zero; just like flu there will be deaths from Covid carrying on for years if not ever. It will mutate and change, resulting in the vaccines consistently being altered and developed. The question is what provisions will be in place to manage this? At what point will the NHS be able to cope if every restriction is lifted? Those will be the key questions requiring answering which will see a move out of the lockdown parameters. I assume the government and the scientists will consider a level of deaths akin to a bad flu season as ‘acceptable’ for a semblance of normality to return.
