So the Brett Johnson/Mark Ashton plan 16:13 - Feb 25 with 4306 views | BlueWorldOrder | Is in essence to buy Ipswich Town, get it promoted out of League One and edging the Playoffs in the Championship before selling on for a profit. If that were the case I'd support it. It is not very long term but we just need some fresh ideas and some people with incentive to make a profit out of the club. If we could get back to the top half of the Championship and attract a better buyer with the resources to make us a Premier League club again that is what we should want. So the Brett Johnson/Mark Ashton plan on 16:16 - Feb 25 with 3771 views | homer_123 | It was Evans plan originally as well. The difference being that he wanted promotion to the Prem before selling and getting a return on his investment. Again - lots of ifs and buts here and nothing concrete linking directly to ITFC.

Are they maybe buying Bristol City? One thought I had is apparently Brett Johnson knows Marcus Evans as they both support Chelsea and have had some interaction there. Maybe he's just liked our Twitter because he's friendly with our owner rather than buying the club? May seem more plausible having thought about it.

I read in the Star not long ago that the plan (regarding the Portman Road car park) is to consolidate that parking space into a multi-storey, leaving the rest of it open for development. Sounds like it would be right up Johnson's street...

We've got to be a lot more attractive as an investment now I'd have thought. There's more room to improve than there was when ME bought us. That all depends whether the selling cost is realistic and how much money it will take to get us ship shape again I suppose (thinking more about facilities than players).

Really? I think it's more difficult. ME took us over at a time when a £10m transfer kitty saw you as one of the big spenders in the Championship. Getting to the Prem is a lot harder feat now than it was then. Evans blew away his competitive advantage. [Post edited 25 Feb 2021 17:12]

Evans never brought in people who know how to run a football club, he brought in Clegg who thought painting the turnstiles was an achievement! This is a plan which could work with the right people involved. Currently we are in relentless decline with Evans so something different is needled.

So the Brett Johnson/Mark Ashton plan on 17:31 - Feb 25 with 3055 views | HighgateBlue | That's not really a plan, that's an aspiration. Why would you support it without knowing how they are going to seek to achieve that? No doubt Evans would love to achieve all of that too - what is it about this lot's strategy that makes you support it? What if they're going full-on short-term by selling or mortgaging the training ground, massively reducing academy funding, and selling all of our youngsters? Derby is an example of a club whose owner has been seeking to "invest" to take the club to the promised land. Is that an example that we want to follow?

So what we really need is a multi-millionaire who hasn't achieved his millions through any capitalist venturing whatsoever, with a heart of gold and a heart for the Town?

Why would Landsown be selling Bristol City and why would the consortium be doing priority searches on Bent Lane? Sorry, none of that makes sense.

It's true. EADT even did a big bit on how Evans used to regularly go and watch Chelsea as that was his team. Milne was a big Chelsea fan.

All three have attended events at Chelsea. Evans was a ST holder, he said as much. I don't know why that is such a big issue?
