Being an ex player there’s a natural connection. If they are going to close the gap on Rangers and do something in European competitions they are going to need something more than what MM can offer.

Incoming: long term deal at Cardiff for MM. Fair play to him, he has done well in the time he has been there.

I did not enjoy watching us under the latter days of MM nor his boorish public persona. He did though get more out of the team than the sum of the parts, something that PL has failed to achieve over the last couple of years.

They could work something out. Celtic could put a legend or player in charge until Micks deal is up at Cardiff and then there can be a formal changeover. Mick would do wonders for the SPL in terms of bringing the standard of the football up to a decent level for a change.
