I suppose he’s ok? I feel slightly underwhelmed but I think this may be because he has never done much higher up in the game. Couple of good promotions though. I know nothing about how his teams play.

Interesting that Cook turned down Cardiff & Sheffield Wednesday for a 2 year contract at Town, where the obvious brief is promotion within that time. The comments in the official statement "He knows he will be working with a squad of players that is as good as any in this division" particularly damning about Lambert's reign & make Evans decision to give the obviously stuttering Lambert a 5 year contract as bizarre as any I have seen in football.
Also that we are now trumpeting that appointing a manager with experience of getting clubs promoted to the Championship, rather than from the Championship, shows how far Evans's ambitions have fallen during his ownership. |  |

I think he was offered deals to the end of the season at the other places, and who knows what discussions have been held with the new owners. Maybe they've sold the vision to him. |  |
