So the mystery player? 12:09 - Mar 8 with 3815 viewsFixed_It

Is it Judge, or someone who has impressed in training and Cook wants to give them a go?

It'll be Emyr, won't it...

On loan at Grimsby. I was thinking Matheson like a number of others it seems.

Not what Cook said in his interview:

"But he says Skuse won’t be involved in the U23s at Swansea this afternoon: “Not today, none of them will be involved in the football in the next two days, but certainly Cole will be training but Tristan’s still with the medical staff.”

Not that it's that important, I was just highlighting other players that make our first team squad ridiculously large and agreeing with your general point about it being massive.

Ah, you're right. Add Cole to the list.

Given he's talked about goals and creativity, I'd be more inclined to say Lankester.

Something has to change somewhere.

I wonder if Downes will come in and perhaps see Bishop (in absence of Judge) further forward alongside Lankester and Parrott (or another)

Having watched the YT of Wigan's goals under Cook, it's quite narrow and direct, so you'll need willing runners who'll do the dirty work too and those 4 fit better than Bennetts and Harrop being in there. Bishop, whilst a little light weight further back would suit being further forward IMO.

Who knows though!?

Amazing it got this far in the thread without anyone mentioning, Wolfenden. He's a shoe in to come back in, especially as Cook likes a ball plating centre half. My guess would be for Nsiala as Wolfenden has been the better of the two recently.

Because he said the player was outside the 18 and Woolfie was a sub?

So he was. Didn't see he was on the bench on Saturday. My hope is that he's taken an instant shine to Dobra in that case, which is likley.

Dobra played in the U23s today, so unlikely to be him. I don't think we'll see him rest of the season - the senior squad is too big even before you start to consider him, Lankester and at a push, ones like Simpson, Nydam, etc

I reckon one of the younger play8ers, not sure you'd call Emyr a "Lad" anymore!

its a saying in liverpool a term of endearment if you like, it does not mean it is a young person :) bit like how in suffolk we call everyone mate

I think i'm more interested to see who they'll be replacing. Whoever that is we won't be seeing much of moving forward i wouldn't have thought. Whoever it is he'll have known about for a while so it won't be a knee jerk reaction to Saturday either.
