Poor from the club.... on 21:03 - Mar 11 by chrismakin | The issue for me is the fact he used another players tweet to share his own feelings. Now. Hes belittled not only his own argument but that of the other player If THIS is the sort not attitude we had from academy players why should their tweets be believed. |
I think we're seeing why we released him. Also being from around these parts and supporting Sheffield United should also be a massive no-no. I can barely tolerate Norwood's infatuation with West Ham but the Blunts.... no.

Poor from the club on 20:15 - Mar 11 by J2BLUE | There's a time to be loyal to the club and a time to demand answers. Either we're a decent club or we aren't. |
Doesn’t this come under Klug’s remit? I’d have expected him to have addressed the original complaints rather than ignore them.

Hey we're not all like that you know. I would think it's more of a young footballer thing. I played a pretty decent standard of youth football, played against a lot of guys who went to academies. (Ross Crane and Zak Brown are ones you may have heard of) However so many people in that league thought they were destined to be pros and took themselves a bit too seriously. I knew by the time I was about 14 I wasn't going to make it, but most of the guys I played with clung on to this dream for far too long and couldn't let go, this guy seems like that type. Especially considering this guy was good enough for academy football so probably had delusions of grandeur. It doesn't help that football often ends up being their only interest. Why was he released? Young players get released all of the time. Good players get released too. Look at Didz.

I was in the same age group as Kieron, and there were 20-25 lads in the academy at the same time, a lot of them thought they would make it, apart from Kieron, none did. But none of them got salty, obviously there was disappointment, but in the intervening years most of them you talk to didn't have the desire to really push on and make the sacrifices if they were honest, though lots did have good semi pro careers locally. I think at best parents need to take some responsibility to highlight that the chances of making are extremely remote and maybe the clubs need to stop hoarding kids regardless of talent, in the hope that they unearth a gem, they are almost so paranoid about losing a gem that this causes such a mammoth amount of youngsters to get looked at and it raises unrealistic expectations. We've all played with extremely talented guys who didn't make it, and when you see how good they were and didn't cut the mustard you soon realise how high the benchmark is and it then suddenly dawns on why so very few make it. I'm not sure about this particular lads situation, and I appreciate it's very disappointing to be let go, but he's not going about it in the right way if I'm honest.

Poor from the club.... on 11:55 - Mar 12 with 519 views | shefki86 | If he’d have put as much effort in training/matches/his attitude as he does to slamming the club on social media, maybe he’d have got himself a contract! You didn’t make it like 99% of us that play/support the game! Get over it or get your head down and keep trying and you may make it Screams sour grapes to me
