Those of the punting persuasion.. 08:32 - Mar 12 with 9645 viewsThe_Romford_Blue

Chris Wilder to be next manager to leave in the Premier League is 7/1 with Paddy Power. May be worth a few pence this morning within the next half hour possibly..

Gamble responsibly folks as always

If you haven’t already, time to bet this lads.

He’s 100% going. On very good authority now that he’s on the way out

Any football tips for weekend?!
I have sky bet and normally do the boost and over 1.5 goals

I don’t really bet football tbh. No value in the markets.

Only reason I backed this is because I had some inside info (though that was probably obvious - hence the 7/1)

Nice one Rommers. I have to admit I wouldn't have gone anywhere near this as thought he was safe. Can't believe they've got rid.

Sad to see it happen isn't it? Now there is an example of owners trying to squeeze a quick buck out of promotion to the prem - the amount of funds he had to play with is certainly nowhere near what is needed to build with.

I hope he gets a decent job in the premier league, as he's produced some eye catching footie with the club.

It is. I only joined TWTD as a way of asking Texters about Section 6. Think I was about 14 at the time. So 8 years ago.

And then a year into my TWTD time, I did the first Cheltenham preview and haven’t stopped since.

Thanks. Kind words.

I guess no one yet as it’s not official.

Skybet have not paid me out.

I only got on late at 1/2, but it’s a few quid profit.

He’s not officially sacked yet and whilst some bookies have paid out (William Hill for example), most will not until its official. Am told today. Yesterday he was gone but the only reason it was not announced is because there was a negotiation going on (lawyers involved to help with it) over the severance package in his contract he signed last season.

As an answer to your question.. your answer here might be me. Because of the 7/1 and it shortened pretty quickly in the 30 minutes after my post.

Assuming it’s a winner, my last two tips on here haven’t been too bad ave they? A 40/1 horse winner last month and a 7/1 transfer bet here. Roll on Cheltenham next month eh..

No bets today for me. All my focus is on the festival next week. Though most of my bets for that have been placed already over the last 12 months antepost anyway. Fingers crossed a few of them do the job.

Betting on manager or transfer markets they often put on pretty tight stake restrictions as people clearly can get inside info on this sort of stuff so bookies are very keen to limit winnings. I didn't put anything on myself but I imagine at 7/1 you weren't allowed to put on any more than £50

Surely it is well known whether Cheltenham will start this weekend so that bet is either free money or throwing away the free fiver.

As for the movement on the Wilder odds, it is the number of people acting on it having become def info rather than it having become any more certain. Gambling is always a risk (although any investment comes with some risk too) and it is very rare to be able to make money from it. The biggest problem is the way it catches too many people who feel the buzz and chase more and more from it whilst actually losing increasing amounts and getting heavily in debt (i.e. those for whom it becomes an addiction).

Paddy power is £200 max on that market. But most put a lower restriction on a special market such as this.

Wow that does seem rather "generous" of them for a manager market, SkyBet in particular don't seem to let you win more than £300-400 on that sort of stuff. Hopefully yourself and others managed to clean them out for a decent amount

No worries.

Asides from the bet being landed, my actual opinion is that it’s a ridiculous decision to let him leave. He was genuinely one of their own. The video of him slaughtered still three days after they won the league was a sight to behold.
