I quite like her, I think she'd be quite good in a role within the Home Office at some point if Labour ever get into power - she's shadow Domestic Violence Minister at the moment.
I was disappointed with her in the leadership contest though. I was open to voting for her but she was very unprepared for the hustings and looked like she didn't want to be there. In the end I wasn't surprised when she dropped out. |  |

I like Jess, too. She was subject to a huge personal vendetta campaign from the Corbynistas because she had dared speak out against the Dear Leader and knew by then that she couldn't possibly win.

I would undoubtedly take issue with a lot of what she says but I have no doubt that she is genuine and well intentioned in her motive. (Kind of the antithesis to a Chukka) | |

Its long been the same, look at the sentences people get for financial fraud compared to assault, rape, abuse etc. Money is seen as more important than people to the justice system | |

Leadership bid?
Personally, I fear she’s as equally lacking in policies – and populist centrism doesn’t fill me with any confidence at all.
There needs to be a compelling vision of what the UK could become as a country and what needs to change to get there. Tweaking around social issues is on the surface better than nothing but If it obscures the greater injustices and imbalances then it’s possibly doing even more harm than good.
It would be like making our response to climate change about using fewer plastic bags and buying organic avocados. |  |
