I know you will think I am talking sh1t and I don't blame you but Mother was a good friend of Doris Day.

I remember her phoning at Christmas but Mother was in in The County Arms getting pissed with my dad. I just said Mother was down the pub

Still not prepared to divulge the number one on the exact date (partly because there is a difference depending on whose chart you look up) but earlier in the year this was at the top of the hit parade:

Now Pet was on 'Loose Ends' a few weeks ago and it came to light that her session guitarist of choice was Jimmy Page and it sounds like they have kept in touch over the years.
