WTF is Norwood on about here 15:14 - May 7 with 7570 views | Cheltenham_Blue | “It’s very easy for fans to say that about players when they have their own jobs and people are bringing in presents for them, saying it’s sad to see them leave. You see it on Instagram all the time. “Imagine if the roles were reversed and we turned around and said ‘What are you on about? They’re terrible at their jobs’ Yet another player with an 'us and them' mentality when it comes to the support, it's been one of the major problems at this club since Mick. Maybe if the players had shown a bit more this year we wouldn't be so keen to bin them off. Own your mistakes FFS.

WTF is Norwood on about here on 21:45 - May 7 by MrTown | He’s not wrong, people personally attack him and other players up and down the country based on seeing less than 1% of their life through social media, but talk about them and hurl abuse at them as though they know them personally. We see then as footballers, and as football fan it absolutely fine to form opinions on them as a footballer, but nobody really these players personally. I like looking through Twitter and Instagram etc, but I’ve never put out a tweet in my life, lots and lots of arguments on there it seems. |

These are grown men, they can handle their own social media accounts how they please. He gets into debates/rows with people on social media, so what, we all do it on here at some point, people do it all the time on Twitter, I just don’t get the issue with his social media persona at all, and nobody has given any genuine reason yet why it’s an issue. I’m not sure what the many aspects of his off field life he needs help with, but as you clearly know him so well, it sounds as though you are better placed to inform us what they are.

Spot on, the personal attacks on him are ridiculous from our own fanbase. Grown adults hurling abuse at him from behind their keyboards. Then in the next breath, they're no doubt saying they support the social media blackouts etc. Absolutely pathetic. If i was him i would definitely be carrying on though. Picture of the golden arches or something, people will lose their mind which demonstrates how sad some people are!

He needs a really good pre season I feel. He never had one this year, recovering from his surgery. Felt as though he never got going at all. A really good pre season I feel outs him in good stead, and if he can be fitter and sharper than we’ve seen before, he could be a real asset for us next year.

WTF is Norwood on about here on 21:53 - May 7 by MrTown | How do you know he is getting pissed all of the time and stuffing his face with burgers? Point and case of the nonsense Norwood is talking about. People talking as if they know, see and live by his side every single day. Very very odd. |
He posts everything on social media and gets arrested for drink driving Lovejoy, keep up. [Post edited 8 May 2021 6:57]

WTF is Norwood on about here on 15:16 - May 7 by Herbivore | If he spent less time on the socials and more in the gym maybe he wouldn't have spent most of his career playing non-league football. |
That's like saying, maybe if you'd practiced more you could have been a professional footballer. Yet another boring anti Norwood jibe for the sake of it.

WTF is Norwood on about here on 15:18 - May 7 by BlueBadger | if I displayed as much diligence to the key aspect of my job as Norwood does, I would have been removed from post and moved onto supervised practice somewhere really low-effort like outpatients years ago. If I hadn't already been struck off for causing someone's death, anyway. |
I never get these comparisons people make between "the real world of working life" and football. It's absolutely apples and oranges. In a regular job you aren't required to excel competitively. You are required to do the things in your job description competently, but there's no requirement that you do them better than anyone else doing that job. If I do my job well I'm never going to be sacked simply because somebody else might be able to do it better than me. If playing football was like normal employment there's no way any of our players would be "removed from post". They show up to work, train when told to and play football matches, as stipulated in their contracts.

WTF is Norwood on about here on 15:30 - May 7 by footers | Norwood has been in my branch of Maccers and criticised me while at work so he can shove it. |
Just out of interest was that face to face criticism in store / via the App 'click and collect' from his car. Or on Drive Thru at order, pay or collect. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

WTF is Norwood on about here on 16:24 - May 8 with 616 views | Parky | The hypocrisy when he said: “I think the issue comes when people start talking about personal lives”. Just a quick scroll back through his tweets and it shows a lot of ‘bantz’ with fans where he turns it personal. See when he took the piss out of innocent Darnell Swallow (which is now deleted). Another example below: For the record, I don’t really care what he does on social media, just found this part extremely hypocritical.
WTF is Norwood on about here on 17:09 - May 8 with 576 views | TheBoyBlue | I'm very keen that we keep Norwood as he gives us a goal-threat (although if he is still our only goal-threat next season then we will have failed big-time in the transfer market) and I've quite enjoyed some of his stuff on Twitter, but I wish he would think before writing rubbish like this. We criticise players for doing their job terribly because they are in the privileged position of being paid handsomely for doing something for supposedly being good at something that they're actually not very good at. And yet when they get binned off for being terrible at their job, they won't have to worry about getting another job in the same privileged profession they somehow inhabit.
