Unless it's to say we should go easy on racism and sexism: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/57383097

With a number of other Tory MPs coming out to call for the ending of taking the knee and tacitly condoning those who boo support for anti-racism, you rather have to question the value base of our government and those who support them.

Clearly my post shows that I already took issue with the original posters in my replies.

However, I do think it's a bit rich to be stating that you're trying not to inflame things whilst clearly upvoting dubious and inflammatory views so you don't specifically need to post them yourself. You know that other posters will view who made the arrows so you also know that you can make your point without incurring the wrath of the admin and whilst also poking the people you want to poke.

To me, it's incredibly transparent. Perhaps I am wrong and it's not deliberate but it's certainly seemed that way to me over the past few days.

SB

To be honest I haven’t thought that deeply about it. I’ve just up voted posts I agreed with. I don’t recall up voting any overly ‘dubious’ posts if I’m honest.

I am sticking to football for a couple of weeks so as not to inflame the currently combustible situation. Comments like this are quite the opposite of the approach I am adopting.

As Paz looks down from the moral high ground all he can survey is the stench and filth of bigotry which he has helped to plough and excuse.

But as long as you can play the victim then it’s all ok….mate.

Here it is! The dedicated lefty who supposedly switched to being a full time online Conservative troll at the ripe old age of 95.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Badly said, mate.

Good afternoon Spruce Moose -

Hey you should go into politics (of course you might be for all I know!). Looking through past postings and picking out those that suit your argument is fine and to be honest, it goes over my head. I am just aware that TWTD's forum numbers would be boosted considerably if more folk felt comfortable about being here, that's all.
I respect you people for the amount of time you spend on here, but surely there is room for us casual visitors as well to pop in and out and question something we find tedious.

Hope the weather is as good where you are as it is here.

The 'spat' that seems to be a continuous theme on these pages between one member with may I suggest right of centre leanings, and a number of so called left leaning scribes is getting rather tedious.
Self righteousness seems to abound at times and although I am more than aware of the political landscape on this forum, I am sure that many more would participate if it were not for the constant 'barracking'.
On the subject of the thread, ideally politics would be kept out of sport, but we are all hypocritical at times. An intervention by a politician is sometimes appreciated if it supports ones view!

What about when they intervene to support racism though?

Nobody is stopping people doing that.

Popping in with posts against anti-racism isn't acceptable though and people who do that are rightly challenged.

Or do you think that people should be allowed to use the site to push any awful message or agenda they see fit?

Keep trolls out of the forum. That's what we should be doing. Especially if they don't even have the good graces to be entertaining.

Racist posts certainly should not be allowed, and neither should posts attacking those with anti-racist leanings.
I am afraid though that on many subjects as well as racism, TWTD does have rather a lot of self promoted 'Policemen', who at times might just arrest or question the wrong individual!!!
Look, I am not a social media animal, just someone who signs on and if I think, hey this is not correct or I would like to add to that, then I will.

I am a big cricket fan, always have been and in the beginning felt the Ollie Robinson situation could have been handled better. Whether I agree with the current punishment or not though, does not make me a racist.
By the way I added the last paragraph as I did not want it thrown at me that I was not sticking to the thread subject!

Have to go, homework to do (now that will confuse, but hey!)

If anyone is supporting racism in any form on this forum (or anywhere for that matter) I would like to think the administrators of the site would take the appropriate action.
To be honest I thought that was a 'given'.

Which has been done, so in the meantime is it no appropriate that people should let their feelings known based on someone's pattern of behaviour?

Old Chip Limehouse eh?

It'll be fun to have such a fan of South Carolinian politics on the forum for a week or two. Can't wait for the pro-Trump posts to start!

Never hear from him anymore! Now he's been given the boot from social media you actually have to make an effort to find out what he's been saying or doing - which obviously I don't do!

Reinstate himself as President?! He can't even get himself reinstated to Pinterest.
