Cruncher update on 10:57 - Jun 11 by chrismakin | Whether it's TWTD, Facebook or Twitter, there is a very bizarre nastiness feel amongst town fans, almost like we've gone back before the take over. You'd think everyone would be buzzing, but there's this mix of desperate need to start rumours, or make up lies on social media. Each player leaving brings up peoples thoughts on PC being wrong, then it leads to his attitude coming into dicussions, the player being lazy etc |
Coming from the bloke who posted about a loyal servant in Chambers to "stop crying" based on the headline for an article you hadn't bothered to read based on an interview given to his new club where he was actually respectful of ITFC. Perhaps practice what you preach eh?
Cruncher update on 12:35 - Jun 11 with 2116 views | Bobbychase | Even if you find him tiresome, Cruncher goes home and away and takes his kids too, his loyalty to the club is not in question. No need to be making physical threats.

Exactly. Attention seeking and embarrassing tit or not, he shouldn't have to fear for his safety at football ffs.

If you've "had enough" of talk about Chambers - why open a thread about him and post in it. If it irked you that much (or you really are so bored about him), ignore it and leave the comments to those who hadn't had enough. You post some very strange stuff sometimes.

Can you make up facts, claiming to be "in the know" just to get attention, dismiss and insult anyone that says you are wrong and then run off to your Mum when you are proven wrong? Should attention seekers complain when they get attention but it's not the type they like? Threats of violence are unnecessary, but in some cases and in this day and age particularly, unfortunately inevitable. (you bunch of rats)

Cruncher update on 13:59 - Jun 11 with 1808 views | Sarge | I don’t think it was actually a threat in the same vein that me hoping Tommy Robinson drowns in the Channel isn’t a threat. Not that it excuses it. The worst part of this is now we’ve been made aware of some internet beef between two tools. If I was interested in what a bunch of boring nobodies had to say on Twitter then I’d follow them on Twitter.

Cruncher update on 12:31 - Jun 11 by jeera | It's just pointless gossip. "This happened over here so I must rush off and tell them over there." Why can't they just post their responses on there ffs? Or stick it on FB or something. |
Its that thing that we were discussing the other day where people can't wait to be the first to break the news......any kind of news.......even mindless playground gossip..... it doesn't matter what as long as they get the accolade even if its just for their own eyes of be first to post it! As for someone threatening someone online its the same as any place from Tesco to a pub in the real world, you may find it unacceptable but unfortunately you are never gonna stop it, I very much doubt it would come to fruition anyway!! I also feel that people just waste their own time and are fighting a pointless battle complaining about posts from twitter though, all complaining does is make certain posters want to post more from there simply to troll you because they know it annoys you, don't give them the ammo!! I personally just ignore some posts because I know there are others who do like posts which I consider sh!t!!

I was going to write a post along exactly the same lines, but you've done the hard work for me. Have an uppie. Cruncher (Rich) is a fully grown man who regularly pretends to be ITK and makes bold claims and tags current and former players in posts to try and add weight to his nonsense. No-one can take away his enthusiasm for the club, but you can criticise his delusions of grandeur as the voice of the fans and his condescending approach to others that call him out. I hope Brett and co. manage to take a step back and realise there's a whole world of Town fans away from the Talking Town echo chamber. EDIT: I'm also still FLABBERGASTED that someone with the credentials of Kate Riley is happy to associate herself with such verbal diarrhea. [Post edited 11 Jun 2021 15:18]

....is very odd. If you look at her twitter feed (I know, I know) then it's all just about Talking Town. Literally nothing to indicate she is any sort of journalist, let alone one that works for CNN. I don't get it, does she even work there anymore? As I said, odd.

Like saying we sold £16k season tickets, like you say no one can take away his enthusiasm for the club but all at talking town are too much, Lambert said today old hands were shaken awake to find the game had changed its like a dig at blue monday, i personally prefer blue monday, talking town does not help themselves

She now lives in Singapore and has left CNN I believe. Working freelance after having a child. Surely she doesn't think Talking Town is her best chance of 'staying relevant'?

It's all just hyperbolic clap-trap that comes out of the mouths of Rich, Matt Phillips and Martin Lambert too. The latter is even funnier really, because he disguises his condescending nature by trying (badly) to be a 'man of the people'.

I’ve watched the last three or four TT shows and I’ve really enjoyed them. Kate Riley has presented the last two and she is really good and highly professional too. They had Jason DeVos on one show, and last week Paul Anderson was on. Both were thoroughly good guys with some great stories about the club. Kate Riley, who has a real passion for ITFC, just asked questions and none of the others interrupted the guest at any point - even this so called evil, mouthy Cruncher. I don’t know the ins and outs of why most seem to dislike him, but he came over as a nice bloke. I’ll definitely be watching the next show. Give it a go if you haven’t already.

Cruncher update on 16:30 - Jun 11 with 1455 views | wkj | Why is he someone we need to talk about in any way - He doesn't care about anyone on here, next to no one cares about him on here - He's just the equivalent of a sh**e poster that people would ignore on here, so had to go Trump and start his own Social Media platform.

The problem is, the Podcast is good, same as the others But, it's the recent daily ITK attempts by Cruncher that have wound people up. What he doesn't get, forget kids, but you've got ipswich supporters with learning disabilities that will look at those tweets and take them for gospel it doesn't matter what we all know about him and his knowledge. It's not fair on these supporters.

No rats or vipers I can see, despite the odd broughaha. Basically the EFL version of Mumsnet, innit.

I know nothing of this comment ‘den of rats’. I can only presume it’s from an earlier show that I’ve not seen. What are the other Town shows that are broadcast as I’ve not watched any others?

Exactly that. His face is well known now, which I suspect he loves. But with that comes a risk with all the BS he talks, all the attacks and digs at fellow supporters. He's made himself a target now and, dare I say it, a marked man. If he upsets the wrong person, his condescending and patronising comments, well he's going to be easily identifiable to that wrong person. He's obviously blissfully unaware of his tone or just loves courting controversy, but it's a danger road to travel.
