Because wanting to pocket money doesnt mean they arent good at their job.( hence why I I there are great Agencies out there) No different to estate agents. Or brokers etc. The end answer is of course yours as an individual but they will use their personal tools to try and encourage you to take a certain path.

For some players.. having a greedy agent works in their own favour as they will most likely get a lucrative package from things themselves.

But... and this is my worry for someone like Gibbs.

He is 18. No England representations of any age group. 1 very poor league debut for first team league 1. Poor in size. Poor in physical structure for senior men's football. But that of course is personal opinion.

Compare that to a dozzell for example.. the 'future potential' just doesnt look great in comparison and why I could personally see ( again my own belief) the agent will treat him over the short term rather than long and try to guide him to the quickest £ earner for both parties.

It may suit Gibbs. If he has a short career but more money he can thank his agent and he will be a great agent for doing it.

Yet the head of youth development touts him as one of the best talents he's ever worked with... I think I'm gonna side with Brian Klug on this one - no offense

Of course as you should.

He did say the same about Knight who has yet to flourish but I'm sure he will have the long term future everyone felt he would have. Plenty of time.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

He wants to stay apparently, but wanted to train with first team is what I heard. Idk how much is to do with money, when the list was released the other day he was unhappy

but then its up to him to work his way into that fold surely,or do these kids not want to take on board the managers advice

There are thousands of kids leaving academies and leaving clubs who dont have lucrative futures. The agency will try to do what is to the benefit of them as they see it. Very rare is the first thought about the client.

That is simply not true!
