Chantry, and other central areas of Ipswich still less than 50% of adults had two jabs.

No idea what your first paragraph is trying to say, it doesn’t make any sense

They were doing walk in jabs on a couple of days in Ipswich last week too, and seemingly had more availability than they could fill. However that’s not like for like with pre-booked vaccinations - the sessions were offered and advertised at short notice and would require changes of plans/working arrangements to attend. Hardly the same as refusing the vaccine as you seem so desperate to frame it

I've not once said anything about 'refusing the vaccine'. To use your favourite phrase, you've just made that up.

That's a different demographic of people.

There are plenty however who aren't desperate to get it as Covid is seen as ok as it won't kill those under 30 unless they have an underlying health condition, and are simply ignoring the opportunities to walk in and get the jab.

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

A pathetic 76k first doses yesterday across the whole UK, whether by supply or demand, the vaccination rate has dropped dramatically when we need it to be high to counter the delta and potentially the lambda variants, yet still all we hear is backslapping about the success we had in starting the program earlier than other countries.

So actually, your point is that younger people have been slower than older people to do something that older people never had to do?

Do people living in Chantry technically count as 'adults'?

Or as 'people'?

Or as 'living', compared to 'merely existing'.

That map makes depressing reading for London. We're gonna get it bad post 19th as will most cities by the looks of it. Serves us right for voting remain.

If you think about it older people, more likely to have voted for Brexit, also more likely to have been vaccinated.

Areas with lower levels of vaccination are, at least in southern England, areas where the majority voted to stay in EU.

London, Cambridge and Oxford, no doubt due to higher percentage of younger people all voted remain and have below average vaccine take up.

There does seem to currently be a shortfall on vaccine availability when you consider AZ not being offered to U40’s this isn’t surprising.

I mean, it's not as if we've been hugely stretched in A&E's for the past few weeks anyway.

only a 37% increase but apparently that's ok as if you read it out in numbers it sounds better and not so scary according to Whitty anyway.

So what would you have them do to get jabs in the arms of people that don’t want them?

I would say they have pushed things about as far as they can without legally mandating it. The messaging for weeks has been loud and clear about how all the vaccinated folk will get benefits in future the refuseniks won’t.

Shut everything down to them until they do. Stop incoming and outbound travel for all purposes. etc etc

These people want their freedoms etc, fine, but get vaxed before you can have it.

( Appreciate medically there are some that can't have it, of course they fall under a different group)
