All very exciting at the moment. Some excellent signings.

Does anyone think we are looking abroad for signings apart from Celina?

Must be a new Pablo out there waiting for the call.

Brexit has killed that idea for lower league clubs.

Doubt it simply because Bowman has left and I don’t think we have a Chief Scout now..? I expect that’s something they will look at when we go up.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

As others have said, Brexit has knackered that (as those who voted for it doubtless knew ...).

Think Ashton said in his interview last week that we'd expand our recruitment tentacles abroad if we got promoted, but for now it's barely worth it. Celina obviously a different case.

To get a visa they would likely have to be a regular international for a top 50 ranked team or playing very regularly in a good standard top division. Band 3 is the Russian Premier League, Brazilian Serie A, Argentinian Primera Division and the Mexican Liga MX, which is the weakest band the points probably stack up for.

There's probably a few players who fit the criteria who we'd be in a position to sign, but it likely wouldn't be worth the resources to systematically scout all those places!

Lacking some Nordic blood...could do with a Herminator Part II right now.

An Icelandic player playing in 100% of Iceland's game and 100% of his club's games in Iceland's top division would get 4 points towards a visa (you need 15).

How about an U21 Peruvian international with two friendly appearances who has played 100% of the time in the Portuguese second division?

What about if he did a inward tuck, with a triple twist and finished off with a gigantic pike when diving into the North Stand. Shirley that would up the tariff by the requisite 11 points, no?

Hehe, well as far as I can tell, you'd get 2 points for playing for a Band 6 club, 2 points for 100% domestic appearances for a band 6 club, plus 5 or 7 points, depending on whether you'd appeared in 30% of Peru's last CONMEBOL SUB20 Championship or just in 30% of regular games. So likely 9 to 11.

However, if Peru played fewer than 10 games this season, your 2 full international appearances for the team ranked 27th in the world earn you another 7 points (because that'd be 20% of all their internationals) and you've got your visa!

You know, the Jupiler League is quite highly ranked and he played in the Europa League this year, so this is one we can make happen!
