I remember him as a name around the club when I was a small kid. Just looking him up, played 66 times in 10 years. It seemed a regular thing back then with clubs like Town, especially in their earlier league days when it was customary to have a few local lads picked up from amateur clubs nearby, some of whom gave up the £8 per week in the factory for the £10 per week from Town (during the football season only).
Another player around that time was Frank Treacy (19 games in 6 years) whom we called Treacle and who scored goals in handfuls in the reserves but could never repeat the trick in his very occasional first team outings. [Post edited 10 Aug 2021 20:15]

Bowditch had a series of loans, but 2007-08 was the only season in which he didn't play a single Town game, while he was on loan at Northampton & Brighton.
