"Supporters" questioning Cook already. on 14:00 - Aug 12 by timothyeo | There's literally a thread saying that the start of the season so far is the most exciting in 50 years. I think that's pretty accepting of mediocrity, assuming you agree that League 1 is mediocre for Ipswich Town. |
I must've missed that thread. I can see one that says most exciting in years (nothing about 50) and is relating to a specific performance (not even a league performance). Maybe you can link me to the thread you're talking about?

"Supporters" questioning Cook already. on 12:53 - Aug 12 by itfcjoe | No, but I expect us to be in the top 3 or 4 by the end of the season with 80+ points on the board |
At least with this squad we have a chance at that. The mob from the past 2 years let us down massively
"Supporters" questioning Cook already. on 14:54 - Aug 12 with 418 views | Churchman | In 1979/80 I saw a lot of the matches. Until the end of October we were all over the place. The odd win smothered by bad defeats home and away. Wolves, Palace and Brighton are particular unhappy memories. At one point in Sept/Oct we were getting well beaten home and away every week. However, after the odd draw and a scrambled win, the team came together and finally learned in particular how to best use the Dutchmen. They became a team. From Nov on we started smashing teams home and away developing into the best team I ever saw represent this club. It took time, even with top players. At a much lower level, we have some decent players here now. I expect this team to start winning at some point and I mean really winning. Not scraping 1-0 or pinching a goal and doing Alamo defence. I expect them to last more than 45 mins and to get stronger as the season progresses - and to put good wins together. When they do that, teams will come to PR knowing they’ve no chance - just like they did second half of 79/80. We live in an instant world and people expect instant results. It’s never going to happen, but the team will succeed in the longer term if it’s allowed to - and the defence is sorted out!
