That looked a bit "I've sent one guy off softly, better even things up".

Not too sure about that. The first one was a second yellow card for a high boot.

That said, it looked a harsh straight red for Morsy. However, I have seen plenty that haven't been overturned. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they support the ref and it stands.
