Two things.
a) Beating Championship sides to players on a lot of our signings.
b) 3 year contracts, with the exceptions of Carroll, who clearly is giving it a single year at this level if we don’t get up and Aluko, for obvious reasons, the rest have signed up to the project.

- A few extra days help with our fitness & reducing tendency to fade in 2nd half.
- Cook & coaches working with the squad to sort out our best starting 11, formation etc.
- For us a break with non-winning pattern.
- Whereas for other teams, a break in their positive momentum. |  |

Agreed. Given the shambolic start and the excellent new additions, this next ten days should be very valuable to Cook. The break couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s been an astonishing transfer window. I get the feeling that the pace of change at Ipswich Town is not going to let up. A good thing. |  | | |
