What I’ve loved about all of this 22:02 - Aug 31 with 1859 viewsCheltenham_Blue

Two things.

a) Beating Championship sides to players on a lot of our signings.
b) 3 year contracts, with the exceptions of Carroll, who clearly is giving it a single year at this level if we don’t get up and Aluko, for obvious reasons, the rest have signed up to the project.

I can’t remember the last time we were run like a proper football club. Now we need to get moving.

Be quite nice if these Championship players could start beating some league One sides...

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Hasn't Carroll had major injury issues? Might be more of we offered only a year possibly? Maybe wrong on that tho

Now now give it 24 hours before having a dig.

Surely you are as impressed with these signings as others are?

Certainly pleased to see we've picked up a goalkeeping upgrade, if Saturday's evidence is anything to go by.

Be quite nice if you stopped making snide comments when we should be looking forward with some optimism after some amazing transfer business.

Ready! Steady! Cook!

Yeah let’s go back to the old squad and how we were being run, sounds like a plan!

With there now being 11 days till we play again, it feels a bit like 'Start of season- take two'.

I'm not sure our dear friend Badger is expressing his true thoughts. But agreed that this has been one hell of a transfer window for us, just need to try and temper the excitement as it's still L1.

The break couldn't have come at a better time, and will suit us a lot more than some other clubs -

- Settling in the new players.
- A few extra days help with our fitness & reducing tendency to fade in 2nd half.
- Cook & coaches working with the squad to sort out our best starting 11, formation etc.
- For us a break with non-winning pattern.
- Whereas for other teams, a break in their positive momentum.

Poll: Why can't/don't we protest like the French do? 🤔

Wycombe have chosen a very strange time to postpone the fixture.

Agreed. Given the shambolic start and the excellent new additions, this next ten days should be very valuable to Cook. The break couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s been an astonishing transfer window. I get the feeling that the pace of change at Ipswich Town is not going to let up. A good thing.
