Just had a thought, seeing the thread about Dozzell Snr making his debut and then going back to school on Monday - which one of the Ipswich schools has provided the most players?
The only ones I know for sure are:
Dozzell x2, Bonne: Chantry Dyer: Westbourne Richard Wright: Thurleston
Suspect a fair few from the 70s and early would have gone to Northgate or the old Landseer School.
Also interestingly, was tweeted by Thomas Telford school at the weekend that both skippers on Saturday (Sam Morsy and Elliott Bennett) had gone to the same school - very niche
On a similar vein Gareth Bale and Sam Warburton were in the same class at school. Imagine being a kid at a local rival school coming up against those two.
Oh...and Geirant Thomas was in the year above them....
In my youth I played with and against both Dozzell Snr and Ruel and I can say ,Ruel used to run rings around us
I used to play for South Suffolk with Jason and bizarrely Ruel didn’t even make the grade
He was a stunning lad back then
Incidentally, do you know which (Sunday) youth club Dozzell Snr played for? I was told that my team played against his team after he had made his debut for Ipswich, although I never believed it.

When I played with him over the course of two seasons it was Chantry and also St Johns I think they were called. At Johns played in orange and black back then.

No one has mentioned the Brambles yet. Wherever they went beat my school in the all Suffolk final in about 94. I missed the final with a broken arm and my teacher never forgave me
