Left side of pitch 21:53 - Oct 22 with 5106 views | chrismakin | I'm not sure Aluko will be as effective in the left. I don't feel Fraser has enough agility for the left side either Celina I feel is more of a 10 but we have Chaplin and celina slows everything down. Edwards.. 0 end product Do we go with a Coulsen/ Penney left hand side? Penney seemingly has enjoyed a more attacking role in the past. Who would you pick for that important left side role. Playing penney further forward is no different to playing Fraser there who admitted its new to him where as Penney has indeed played further forwards previously. It's interesting how you view it considering we have a wingback playing further forward on the right in Burns.

A bit harsh, but then I re-read it and it is a little bit rubbish. My first thought was this sort of stuff could wait until the morning. It’s hard work to think about optimum positions at this time of night! (fwiw for the OP, Celina is great on the left, Aluko may well be ok as he’s a good experienced player, and Fraser seems able to buzz around anywhere behind the striker. It’s all ok. Nothing we really need to be worrying about. Especially now.).

A question is only a question if it's is relevant and coherent. Yours is neither so it doesn't warrant or deserve an answer. Rather than ask a question, what you've done is distributed your inner monologue which in fairness, nobody want's to be privy to. SB

A question is a question if the sentence ends with a question mark Who would you pick for that important left hand side role? Easy one to answer if you know who you would prefer. And based on your preference, you too would have opinions on the others you don't prefer. Some may agree with you. Some might not. If you get angry at people's posts. Maybe a forum isn't for you SB. Honestly, if you think Penney is a better left wing option than Fraser, Celina or Edwards then I don’t know what to say

I don't like the thinly veiled implication of your post. If you can't take people criticising your nonsense then perhaps a forum isn't the place for you, especially at night. Honestly, you've disregarded a quality winger because you mistakenly think he has no end product, you've ignored another winger because you've decided he's a number 10 when in reality his whole career has been on the wing and then decided rather randomly that the best option for that position could be a defender. It's utter garbage as I said in my original post and as numerous posters have acknowledged with their posts and arrows. SB

People didn't see Burns as anything but a fullback. That changed and we are getting the benefit. There's plenty in Penney to see similar I've yet to see anything special from the 3 you mention so yes I do see it as a possibility in the future.

This is another falsehood. Virtually everyone saw Burns as a winger who could play RB if needed. I don't actually remember anyone thinking he was a fullback first and foremost. You can't rewrite history to suit your bizarre narrative. SB [Post edited 22 Oct 2021 23:04]

Which, to be fair on Makin, you did choose to reply and you didn't have to. Here is my go at a reply to his OP though. Norwood won't be very good on the left, so Pigott would be better but he is good up front although Bonne will be playing there. Bearing in mind Barry won't be playing there and we don't like Fraser out there, isn't it a shame we can't play Kenlock there?

IIRC there were a few pushing Burns as a full back but they were mostly ignored.

Disagree all you like about my thoughts not a problem, be a grown up and supply you own. See that wasn't so hard. I haven't decided celina is a 10 he's been playing Central for a fair while and in France especially. Edwards. There's no mistake. 0 assists. 0 goals. 0 successful crosses. I would say plenty of running into a man tho. Bennetts got moaned at for that. Edwards gets erm cheers. Bizarre. I bet you love Burns tho. You know the fullback turned midfielder.
