Burns a great impact sub? 12:42 - Oct 25 with 2044 viewskizaitfc

I see a lot of people wanting him to start, but I actually think him coming on against tiring legs is a great tactic - bit like what we used to do with Danny Haynes.

Burns struggles to keep the intensity for a full 90, I personally would much prefer to have that intensity in the final 30 than the first 45 or so.

The choice of players we have is ridiculous, I also think Edwards may turn out to be similarly useful off the bench.

I personally would start with Aluko, Chaplin and Celina - three smart attacking players to start the game then throw in the flair and speed 2nd half.

Burns has the right side nailed down for me. Great player.

Agreed. He could have far more assists if it weren't for a bit of better fortune. A real threat every game. The good thing is, everyone's contributing in different ways providing lots of great options.

an off the pace celina still found himself in the exact right place to win us the game. which all round is great for every person involved in itfc.

Don't you want to play our strongest side then?

Gwion scored a few early on last season should we get him back?

Burns far too effective to just come on from the bench long term.

i think we did play the strongest side didnt we? and brought on subs that are equally as good, that ended up winning us the game.

Gwoin would currently be in the sam place as jackson if he was here.

The conversation was regarding playing Celina based on limited stats and ignoring performances. You have waded into that conversation and either lost sight of that or not had a grasp of it

I’m so not convinced about Celina, but I’d start him against Plymouth. He’s the so-called marquee signing so if he’s going to come good, then give him an opportunity straight after his winner on Saturday. I thought he was hopeless, other than the winner, but go with the momentum.

Burns and Aluko deserve to start, but it’s a long season and I think they’re nursing Burns through.
Personally, id prefer Fraser over Edwards if they’re fighting for a place on the bench. Fraser has more end result, even though he hasn’t got the x-factor. Nice problem to have.

Yep. Whatever three we pick behind Bonne then there are another three who can feel aggrieved.

And that’s without mentioning Pigott and Harper who have done little wrong, El Mizouni who could step up anywhere in midfield, and Barry who looks a lovely player if and when he gets a chance.

While the performance and results are getting better, the energy and confidence in the squad must be building nicely too.

I thought Aluko had a game and was linking up with JD well, but Burns brought something else to the same when he came on.
