Bed wetting galore. on 12:56 - Nov 24 by The_Flashing_Smile | We're 8 points off the playoffs. There are 81 points left to play for. |
But it's not 8 points. Sunderland and Oxford both have 2 games in hand. even MK Dons have a game in hand. They are not all going to lose. At least one of those 5 games will be won to make it 11 points so it's a minimum of 11 realistically. That is too much! Sorry fans need to be realistic

They might lose them, who knows? We may also go on a run before they play those games. I'm dealing in the facts of here and now, not what might happen. You can't just say "it's not 8 points" when it is, and then cite games in the future!

Ok but it's naive to say only 8 points when in realistically it wouldn't be on a level playing field of games played. So games in the future don't count. Hand on heart do you really expect all 5 of those games in hand to be lost by the other team?

Poster that has spent the last half year saying we should ignore the results Cook has actually achieved because of what might happen in the future, now says we should ignore what might happen in the future Hooray for only being 8 points from the playoffs! 🙌🻠

You should be delighted we're 8 points from the play-offs. Ignore it's worse than under Lambert who the same posters agreed (albeit 10 months later than most people who watch football) was absolutely useless. As per another thread, you should also be happy that at one point last night we actually strung a few passes together and got a cross in. Mad scenes.

I've no idea. The fact that those teams are all below us doesn't show it's a given they'll all be wins.

Bed wetting galore. on 18:48 - Nov 24 with 430 views | solomon | Ok, so let’s look at this scenario from a purely analytical view point. The table provides all the metrics we need to give us an idea of where we actually are (let’s take aspirations, emotions and expectations out for the moment) the data available indicates the trajectory we are currently on and ultimately a reasonably accurate forecast of where we will end up come seasons end if the current trend is not altered. This isn’t bed wetting it’s analysing the available data and using that to forecast an end result. Maybe trivialising genuine concerns is a little unhelpful?
