Ban them for being an absolute embarrassment to our club.

What they did last night has probably convinced our new players that this is not the pace for them.

Will players go into the next game feeling positive and enthusiastic? Doubtful. Most will have been in the phone to their agents.

I dunno, man.

People can't be running on the pitch, looking for fights, that's for starters; plus kicking off at our only good player is exceptionally stupid - but every single outfield player was shocking last night.

Walton got applause when he came over (and rightly so), so god knows what matey boy was trying to do there.... Bonne seemed to be remonstrating with the crowd; I don't doubt that he's hurting out there, you'd like to think he's telling the rest of the dressing room that this is unacceptable.

3,000 people turned up to see that abject guff - in return, their keeper didn't have to make a save, and with another keeper in our goal, Charlton could've got 6. (Wigan may very well get 6.)

It seemed that every time Morsy and Fraser got the ball, they were facing our goal - a pass-back ensued, and then more often than not, Nsiala hoofed it long (Nsiala was awful last night, but he certainly wasn't alone). As bad as Morsy and Fraser were, Evans was worse - he properly hid last night.

Supporters are fully entitled to be hacked off after that, notwithstanding the points made in my initial paragraph.

These player have had good support pretty much all season - last night people lost patience.

Yeah yeah

They should have been clapped and cheered like that mob back in 2019 following the spineless relegation. Lambert, Chambers, Skuse, Sears and the rest.

Yeah, because there's no middle ground between the two is there.

If he's associating with the rest of them in that front row that's good enough for me. Plebs the lot of them.

"Fully entitled to be hacked off".

I never really understand this attitude. I paid to watch a football match, fully aware that we might be rubbish and lose. We were and I was disappointed, but I don't get how that makes me "entitled" to abuse the players? No one seriously believes they set out to be bad last night, they all know they've not been good enough, what possible purpose does us getting at them serve?

When we're good I stay and applaud, when we're bad I just leave. I cannot for the life of me see the point of anything else.

Fair enough, I suppose.

Many of us have an emotional investment in the team, resulting in emotion being shown upon the conclusion of the various games played. We jump around like fools when we score, grumble when the opposition score, and get very angry when the team perform in the atrocious fashion they did last night.

If you don't, then kudos; it's probably been significantly easier for you to watch this football team than for me, over the past few years.

It's not about whether you feel emotions or not, it's about the directions those emotions go in.

I've never bought into the seemingly very fashionable idea that the players, specifically, are trying to defraud and disappoint the supporters or that anger towards them is well-directed. I think that was particularly the case this evening, where given the shambles the club is in we'd all have been far better off trying to stick together.

i get really pissed off when people use the fully grown men comment. like because they are adults they arent allowed to be pissed off the players havent turned up to play for, and fight for, the team they dearly love.

that old boy in the video will have seen terrific highs as a town fan, and you try and put him down for caring. fck that

I know the "Old boy" and he has absolutely enjoyed terrific highs - and lows.

Maybe they should have done what I did though, left 10 mins before the end and went back to Borough market for a few more beers.

Gotta say though, that really was a sh1te performance wasn't it, I mean, they simply didn't want to be out there.

I do get the feeling that players these days don't love the game like players of old and are only in it for the contracts. Don't know why I was thinking of him but last night I said to Bossbeard "Can you imagine Frank Worthington being this uninterested in a game of football" - which our lot clearly were

A lot of industrial language there, but nothing seriously out of order with what I could hear.

No footage of the alleged vandalism or racism by our supporters touted on here yet either.

I don't know why some do their best to rubbish our own fanbase so much. It's not our fault it's all gone wrong, it's not our fault, is it? If it happened, record it, report it, post it, prove it. We have never had so much coverage and yet whenever these incidents happen apparently everyone's cameras stop working.

Do the opposition not also count as "players these days"?
