for a while…and last match for a while.

Pre match entertainment- none.
Match entertainment- none
Player effort - none
Skill level - none

Beers down the Greyhound pre match -
Ok.

People who judge games on pre-match entertainment shouldn’t be allowed in anyway.

The point being, there were 29k there today, and the chance to grab the fascination of younger fans was missed.

I'd be interested to know what you expected. What would have made it better?

I thought 27,000 people waving flags and the pyros were pretty good.

It’s a football match not a fooking theme park.

What would you suggest to grab their fascination? Dancing girls? T-Shirt Canons? An Its a knock out style thing with Bluey and Crazee, a motorcycle display team?

Small point being that our pitch is bloody awful so the fewer people on it before the game and at half time the better.

Feel free not to come again, if there's one thing that would improve the match experience, it would be a few less serial moaners in the stands.

That sort of thing has been done before and was great fun, so yes!

Can confidently say I’ve been going a pretty long time, with a box between 82 and 90 not that it matters.

Didn't know people still took boxes to stand on at footy. Especially octogenarians.

What, even those dancers a few years back??

Doesn't sound like you should even be going to a Town match as its clearly not your thing.

It’s a real struggle it really is and I am glad someone has chosen to make a sensible comment.

If I want full blooded commitment and fun I will watch a Sunday league match down my local park and be up the pub for 1.

If I want to see professionals try and consistently fail to achieve the basics then I will go to PR.

Making the financiall and time commitment is a real drag and has been for years.

Well according to your post you haven’t really made the commitment financially or in spirit for quite a time!

So what were the pre-match attractions in the 80s and 90s then?

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

In the centre spot? Stand up comedians were a popular thing.

T short cannons, penalty shoot outs, fun on the pitch is going to draw in the fans for tomorrow.

Why reduce ticket prices and then have a couple of flames and a stuttering enterence?

Bring back the 6ft inflatable footballs I say.

I think these sorts of things will come back, once the pitch is sorted and once we're in the league above, but given where we are at the moment, it would be a bit cheesy to try anything too fancy - though with Americans as owners, who knows?

Think you're wrong about the football though....

I do hope you are right. Every match that passes is a chance lost. God only knows what those school kids attending for the first time thought.

Did you go to the game for the football or the potential to see penalty shoot outs and shirt cannons?

Blimey.
Takes a special kind of wierdo to include 'Pre-match entertainment' among the criteria for judging a match
Lost me after that, if I'm honest

Another sensible comment, thanks.

I can see they are trying but they simply can’t get the basics right and it’s infuriating watching.

I’ve watched every match home and away for the last two years on ifollow and at £25 a month i will accept a mediocre game, however shelling for travel tickets, beer and food to watch that drivel live and you think, what’s the point?

Nope. I'm sure ill be a div another day.

I'm just curious to know if you went down to the ground early expecting a pen shoot out or shirts being fired out of a cannon.

You just might have come along with some unrealistic expectations considering where we are as a club right now, but do make some valid points. I agree that It's hard to beat a good box view, and an inflatable tbf.
