Lewisham Deptford Labour Party focused on the priorities on 19:30 - Jan 13 by lowhouseblue
hopefully corbyn will launch his new party soon and you'll have somewhere to call home. you can plan your platform for government.
Don’t have to, mate. Already got the SNP and Starmer is a Godsend. It now looks wall-to-wall establishment south of the border.
As for Westminster politics itself, it’s pretty obvious that it’s broken and the only way to actually leverage public sentiment is to operate outside it. UKIP/Brexit party did that for evil, but I’m hopeful the younger generation will push Labour and possibly even the Conservatives left in order to address the real challenges that are affecting people not even able to be blinded by their mortgage/portfolio.
Exciting times ahead!

You're honestly the strangest 'leftist' I've ever come across. Nothing you say or seemingly do relates in any way to leftist politics. Odd.
I’d say low house was a radical centrist but he’s worse than that. I genuinely think he has an altar to Mandelson where he “sacrifices” something of himself on a nightly basis.

I don’t think you’ve been paying much attention lately. It’s people who are very strong in their belief that bad things are bad (frowny face) but they don’t want to risk any material change to their lives through actual change.
Most of the Remainer/grown up politics cult energy right there. And I say that as a massive supporter of remaining in the EU.
The irony is that this self-centred attitude fuelled Brexit, regional dissatisfaction and independence sentiment, and handed power to the likes of Cummings and Johnson. Can’t wait for the next installment ...
Not wanting things to change too much is the very opposite of being radical, which was precisely my point. I pay plenty of attention, I'm not sure the same can be said of you. Mostly you just throw buzzwords around these days, it's a shame.

you've been predicting this ever since you started posting. your belief that what you want is shared by other people and will come to pass has a strange, unreasoned religious quality. the end is nigh of course.
And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

Actually, I’ve been predicting a race to the bottom while the real stuff, beyond the silly flag-waving red team/blue team politics, keeps being ignored. How am I doing on that?
I might have underestimated people’s tolerance for political dishonesty (not anymore!). But, as Boris himself has now shown, when people voice what they always knew then things have a chance of changing*
*Although, it’s still just a chance. Boris can probably hold out for a shift into a fresh news cycle and people largely forgetting. It’s not as if anyone else is presenting an alternative.

"What sort of person In a modern society thinks that stuff doesn’t have to be sold?"
A Marxist. I consider you amongst the most insidious of the capitalist shills.
Wait wait wait. Koont is in advertising?
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I take it you saw the final Curb?
Amazing stuff really, unlike my mates I never saw the shoe bit coming. Shockingly brilliant!
Sorry! Spotted this earlier but I had sh1t to deal with.
Yeah, I was going to ask you what you thought of it. The shoes part was fantastic and so much good stuff in the last episode but feels like “Young Larry” and Maria Sofia is left hanging ... which is great if there’s another season. But I’m always mentally preparing for him to say he’s done enough. 😢
On a side note, Curb really does work its way into you ... Me and my daughters have found ourselves having friendly, meaningless but very shouty discussions EXACTLY like Jeff, Suzie and Larry. It’s a mitzvah!

I'm not really questioning that the proper left might want to challenge Starmer, even if I personally don't agree, its more the timing of it, when Starmer finally has a big lead and Johnson is properly on the ropes.
"What's that. the opposition leader is floundering? What a perfect time to go after our own leader instead."

I was behind Corbyn, rejoined the Labour Party and was in support. But I'm a realist, he was never going to be elected Prime Minister in a million years and the polls mirrored that.
Labour should concentrate on getting the Tories out before anything else, there's a million open goals to score against them right now.
It's all a bit People's Front Of Judea against the Judean People's Front

That sounds great, I want to pop round for a coffee. Unfortunately I am the only person in the house who finds Curb funny - although to be fair I have had Suzie unintentionally ringing in my ears for years on end.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”
