He was there yesterday just not in the squad for the game.
Aluko? on 18:14 - Feb 6 with 3015 views | DavoIPB | MK didn't give much away. Just said something like big squad who train hard and those that do will get a chance. Hate squad rotation. Play your best players. Find a winning team. They might not win every game but stick with them. Must know your best players. Which are as follows - Walton, edmundson, wolfenden, donacian, Burns, Aluko, Morsy, Celina, Chaplin, Norwood, Bonne. Need to make his mind up wether he wants wings backs who can defend or ones who can attack because at the minute he has burns who is great in attack and can't defend and Thompson who is better in defence and doesn't look comfortable going forward.
Aluko? on 18:15 - Feb 6 with 3026 views | PhilTWTD | I'm sure he, Bonne and Celina will start on Tuesday. I suppose it was a toss-up between him and Celina for the role of number 10 on the bench yesterday.

He was training this morning. Thought it unusual for them to be in on a Sunday morning but Mckenna is clearly keen

Do we think all this swapping around of the front three is helping Phil? It’s looking disjointed each game at the moment. Like 3 strangers. Any news on Burns??

Difficult to say. If we played what I assume is McKenna's best three/four - Bonne, two of Celina, Chaplin and Aluko - would they have performed every game, Tuesday, Saturday? KM was hopeful re Burns, player said it was just a knock as he came off.

Celina and Aluko have hardly played… and bonne doesn’t look tired, just devoid of space and chances Just feel we need a bit of consistency- could Chaplin replace Burns??

I get the feeling mckenna knows that a new manager bounce only lasts while everyone is highly motivated to get in the team. When people start feeling like they won't get in the team, they revert to normal levels of motivation and the bounce is over. We need a hell of a bounce to get in the playoffs so he knows he needs to rotate.

Players seem to be showing no reaction to trying to earn a place and squad rotation, indeed it seems to be making player form and motivation/energy go backwards.

We've won 5 in 7 and 3 in a row at home. We dug in after we scored against gillingham and kept a clean sheet. Sounds like a motivated team to me.

Can't see that. I would guess KVY will come into the side. Celina was injured and Aluko missed game as his wife had a baby but started McKenna's first four matches. I expect the front three on Saturday was picked with an eye on Tuesday.

We're desperate for Aluko to be back tbh. When fit and available, Aluko and Morsy are two of our most important players. The rest of the midfield/#10 options don't convince me at all and some of them are outright pedestrian by comparison.

If McKenna somehow manages to make it 9 points from 12, without 2 of our starting midfielders and having rotated 7 forwards through 3 positions, then he deserves a fair bit of credit I reckon, regardless of how fluent the performances have been.

Yes, not sure anyone could have asked for too much more even aside from losing the two first-choice midfielders for some of those games.

There's already been a bounce. Apart from a couple of hiccups. But we are relying on others to falter and it hasn't happened to any degree. We are also looking to teams that have played fewer games. It was always going to be an uphill struggle after the start that PC managed to contrive as we have been playing catch up ever since. We have had 19 players come in and a few of those have already, one way or another, moved to other clubs. Plus a new manager with what appears a totally different style and set up than PC. Players that were scoring freely, Bonne and Norwood whilst not exactly playing badly aren't hitting the back of the net regularly enough. With Bonne I'm not sure if it's him of the supply that's lacking. But I do believe we need to find a 20-25 goal a season striker.

Arguably we have that striker in Norwood or Bonne or even Piggot, but if we dont get the ball into the box what chance do they have? With the noted exception of Burns nobody seems to like getting the ball forward. Let's get the ball into the opposition danger area more. Too much stoping and passing backwards and sideways - still!
