I have a bit of a confession... 10:08 - Feb 28 with 2621 viewshoppy

Despite hearing loads of people going on about it, and being excited about a new series starting.

I have never watched Peaky Blinders.

Is it worth the hype, and should I go back and watch it from the start?

When I was laid up with Covid I blitzed through The Americans, had watched first couple of series but never all the way through - such an underrated show

Interesting as me, my wife and both boys have all tested positive this morning and I was looking at that to watch, will give it a go

Thought the first two series were great, kind of lost interest after that - but I’m sure I’m in the minority there.

Same, thought it went downhill after S2. I stopped watching. Partner continued though.

I think I've seen about half of one episode of Killing Eve, but no more than that. Not seen Breaking Bad, and caught a bit in the middle of one episode of GoT as well.

I'm clearly not cool enough, or too cool, or whichever way round it works.

Killing Eve has never appealed.

Breaking Bad was a good watch.

Peaky Blinders has been decent although as others have said it lost its way a bit on Series 3.

Not sure what happened to Taboo. That started off promising but disappeared off the planet.

No. I've never seen a second of it. The main reason being the stupid title.

Couldn't get into it to be honest. Actually watched the whole of the last series of Line of Duty, which i've had on my HDD recorder for nearly a year. Enjoyed it but had to keep explaining all the terminology to the wife.

....it's "cool" on TWTD to not like it.

Personally I think it's been one of the best British drama serials in recent memory and should be watched from the start.

The series with the Russians (ironically) was a bit weak, but generally it's excellent.

It intrigues me that people are surprised when I‘confess’ that there are many popular TV programmes that I have never seen a complete episode of, among them Friends, Mrs Brown’s Boys and Cold Feet.

Whilst I certainly don’t think this makes me cool, I have on occasion been accused of being pretentious and trying to be edgy. The simple fact is that I am just not interested. Each to their own.

I didn’t get into Peaky Blinders until series 3, but was then quickly hooked and started from the beginning. It’s not to be taken too seriously, my Brummie friends tell me that the accents are all over the place, and it has the loosest of ‘based on truth’ credentials.

I am happy to be uncool (again)

Same here. Watched the first two series then lost interest in it too.

+1 in the lost me in series 3 group.

Wondering if it is worth skipping that and starting it up again.

Felt like it was starting to eat itself a bit to me.

But I persevered because I didn't want to miss any link-up to any future episodes.

But to those who say it's unrealistic and overblown, it's not supposed to be a documentary! It's just TV entertainment and as far as that goes it's pretty good.

The one I struggled with the most in recent TV history was Fargo. I liked the first couple and of course the film is a cult classic, but the most recent series was just hard work.
I think I got to episode 3 and tried to watch the same one 3 or 4 times because it was so mind-numbingly tedious that I couldn't get through it.

It was Spruce I think I asked if I was missing something but he said he'd forced his way through them and to do myself a favour and not bother trying.

Think we made it into a few episodes of series 3 then moved on. The story line became too repetitive and didn't really get us hooked.

GOT's however....my missus has watched every season 3 times. I watched a couple of episodes originally and tuned out, then watched them all in solidarity and really got into it. Some fantastic story lines and characters with the over arching background story.
