I don’t think the horse was that big, by horse standards. It was called Marengo and it’s skeleton is preserved.
Big hat though - Napoleon, not the horse. They don’t normally wear hats. |

Yes, but despite war with Spain I don’t think Liz 1 invaded anywhere. Neither did Mary 1. Boudicca just massacred a load of romans and locals (about 80k), but that was a rebellion. Queen Anne had a little war going on (Duke of Marlborough n all that), but nothing to compare with Catherine t Great. |

Not sure that has a lot to do with Liz, Mary or Queen Anne come to that. I certainly doubt Boudicca’s lot tootled over unless they had floating chariots.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the Spanish and Portuguese sawed up S America and massacred the Incas etc. As for the plains/native americans, I thought that European traders introduced disses that wiped a lot of them out but corralling them on rubbish land, wiping out their food source and killing them was largely down to post-1776 America.
