Has a club ever sold tickets so early before?

If its unique to Bolton. An effort to keep within league 1 spending limits for this season do you think?

Wouldn't suprise me to see something 'creative' from us this year.

Suspect the Season Ticket renewal will come after the club do their presser on the infrastructure plans, etc. Maybe even a big reveal on some early transfer news.

Poll: How many points do you think you'll need to get a ticket for Norwich?

When we lost at Sheff Weds last month their electronic advertising boards were promoting the 22-23 season tickets.

I'm old enough to remember when they were sold following the end of the season.

It is only speculation, but if it is in order to balance overspending in this season's budget then they are mortgaging their future and likely in a very precarious position.

I have no idea whether this is the case, though. Only responding to the question in the OP.

Wouldn’t have thought it would make a difference to the FFP for this season. From a statutory perspective it’s deferred revenue that wouldn’t be recognised until next season, and I would imagine it’s a similar criteria for the FFP side of things.

Probably just to try and get people committed before inflationary pressures kick in, and / or to allow them to plan new contracts & recruitment nice and early for next season.

Not unique to them. Norwich always do theirs early apparently, February this year. Same for Forest. Makes sense to do it when fans are still hoping to be in the higher division.

Surely for Norwich fans to still be hoping to be in the higher division, they would have had to have sold them well before Christmas.

Ha ha yep, but they always do…and quite a few other clubs do too…so more of a general point.

Think they didn’t even offer a discount if relegated, as said there were more games.

Goimg so early does feel a bit of a ‘scam’

Does any club anywhere offer a rolling direct debit scheme where you just pay 35 or 40 quid a month all year round. Price could adjust based on promotion/relegation. Sure plenty would sign up for that sort of commitment. Although I guess clubs would rather have a few millions banked all at once

That’s exactly how it works here in Chile, I pay about £5 a month for my season ticket for Palestino.

From £219 for adults seems really good value, what was our cheapest adult ST this year? Town surely have an ideal opportunity to drop prices and radically increase sales next season, with the upbeat feeling and the increase in casual attendees this year.

With the creativity and backing of Gamechanger, I would have thought they'd be tempted to really go for almost filling the stadium at the right price point. Would it be possible to retrospectively adjust prices based on sales in order to get people to commit in the knowledge that any drop in prices later in the season would be fed back to the early adopters? I guess they would have to have a target overall income for the FFP-thing rules?

Bit does it just roll on and auto renew, stay in your same seat without having to apply every season?

Yup! It's very good - 0% interest direct debit too.

I think a ticket that gives you access to all Saturday home games would be a good idea. There must be people that can easily make it on a weekend but can't travel during the working week and therefore a ST doesn't make sense. Sure, some games would be rescheduled, but the club could reimburse any that are rescheduled for midweek.

I think 'from' is doing some heavy lifting. It's probably for a disabled pensioner with restricted view.
