they've mentioned how good the training facilities are. Given that every manager has said, that, "the training facilities just don't work".

Do you think we were actually showing them all around someone else's?

To be fair, I think it's many years since that was said - other than fans parrotting it because players always used to say it.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

15 years ago the Training Ground was probably up there with the best in the Championship, but without wanting to go over old ground, it was essentially run into the ground over the Evans tenure and now looks tired, especially when you compare it to others.

Obviously we don't have the finances to put in place facilities like Spurs, Leicester's new centre, Utd's etc, but there is plenty of scope to improve it.

I drive past it everyday and it does look a bit of a mess, disjointed and run down, but nothing that can't be improved without the need of huge investment.

Marcus offered them an extra 50p singing on bonus to mention excellent training facilities.

This is clearly a joke, ME would never have invested that much.

The fact its looks a bit of a mess is hardly a surprise after the great Blue Action conflagration

Well, I didn't want to open up old wounds.

But yes, they decimated the place.

I'm amazed we are able to do any training on the barren wasteland that it have become

You only have to drive to Kesgave to see just an appalling the area has been left

I don't think they've said the 'facilities' don't work. Ashton has said simply that the training ground itself doesn't work, echoing previous managers.

Probably more from a management perspective. Players just turn up and train, I doubt they're thinking too much about how the building operates.

Garv. We used a tent to house equipment definitely not too level that is it

Don't forget Hurst had to ask for our gym equipment to be updated. ( or Lambert did) aswell.

a niche perspective

I live near the new Leicester training ground and I have to say it is a very impressive site

The facilities were good.

Marcus Evans bought the club.

They’re now bad.

This should be a sticky anytime an Evans debate comes up.

It's the most succinct statement I have seen over the past few years.

What the players say and what they may think will be two different things entirely.
