Of course it does. He completely messed up and got worse after his demolition job. Those are facts.

It would have been better to have given McK the summer and chance to spend that money, but as with Mick. At least we got him eventually and avoided a complete catastrophe.

If we don't go up there will be increased pressure on McK, but this season has been a failure because of Cook alone. That's going by your own logic there too.

I know you have been emotionally affected to the previous crop of players that's why you are happily slating Cook for that spell too. But that is your own logic.

It's this season that counts for Cooks failure. In fact he ought to have gone sooner.

None of that makes any sense. Especially the bit where you then agree with me.

None of what you say makes any sense. Think what you want though as I'm not interested in your opinion.

Depends what you mean by ‘acceptable’. And to whom. Most realistic Town fans would settle for some constructive team building - and probably be overjoyed to make the play offs. History suggests that the play offs would be a graveyard for Town’s promotion hopes.

Our gurning chief exec probably couldn’t care less. He has awarded himself a solid gold salary and a massive pay off for failure. So he can afford to smile his way through any little difficulties that might have experienced in Phoenix last week. His is a win win situation even when Town lose.

The three amigos are probably a bit anxious - and I suspect you’re right. Ashton, McKenna or both will not be here after next season IF Town aren’t promoted. After all they have to justify themselves to Schwarz - but heck guys, it’s not their money - so I suspect they’re just a bit cross that all that east money and added value appears an illusion for now

Schwarz is probably drumming his fingers on the desk as he compares last year’s projection with this season’s reality - but won’t hit the panic button again unless things go pear shaped again.

And IF McKenna can turn hype into reality he’ll be headhunted - so either way he’s not going to be here this time next year. Probably.

Er, did MA bully you as a kid or something?

Ignore the cave men on here, nothing about your post is spam or inflammatory, total sense being spoken as yeah is surely to be expected that an actual promotion push is the only acceptable plan for next season. Toxic fan base no matter the platform

I think, while he's undoubtably correct, it's more that while there's optimism flying around (about the new manager and Gamechanger's plans) this kind of Debbie Downer stuff didn't really need saying.

They know. It's not like they're going to read Frimer's missives on here and focus their minds more.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I think both know the desire for success, it benefits nobody posting something like this.

These are highly knowledge football men, one being in the game of 30 years, the other has coached at the very highest level and is regarded as one the brightest young minds in the country.

I'm pretty sure they will know what needs to be done, and I'm sure they will be doing everything in their power to bring success next season, our job as fans is to back them 100% every step along the way, not to be judge, jury and executioners of them.

Indeed. McKenna hasn't had a proper go at getting his own players yet. Bit premature for the knives to be out.

It's called having a discussion.

BTW. I left the club 2 years ago as explained before.

Presumably you were sacked for not getting promotion?

Hi Veggie. No. I left when time just wasn't there any longer to give the hours needed for that role.

Agree with the original post. If the new owners were happy to wait years for something to happen, then they wouldn’t have sacked Cook. McKenna will be under the gun from the start of next season.
